Yeah you can think of HS as exhaustion levels as well. After each battle, you can take a short breather and bandage up some cuts. But enough fights during a day and your character is getting more and more tired. And at some point they just can't go on anymore without a full nights rest. These are the moments where your character can't hold their own in the fights, and TPKs become a serious...

Hey all. Having a bit of confusion around the section in Seaquen called Someone Is Looking For You. From what I understand the players are told that someone is looking for them, but the person who tells them knows nothing about Jess, only a name. And then immediately after that (in the 4e version) there is a Skill Challenge that assumes the players are investigating the White Wyrms. Am I...

For 4e specific stuff the Points of Light settings has lots of locations with adventure material you can steal from. Other campaigns I really like Scarred Lands, or Arcanis for super interesting worlds. Loads of stuff you can steal from in those settings.

Is the character builder down? Trying to use it but it crashes on launch. Anyone got a link to an install guide?

Hey all. I have a map of the WotBS world on my wall. And I'd like to get some tokens or icons so I can show where each of the armies are and how the conflict is looking on a grand scale. Has anyone made up any icons/crests of each of the factions of the world that I can take a look at? Thanks

For travel I prefer to use the alternative. Instead of failure stakes, I would reward them for doing well. Examples: Doing well in the SC allows them to take shortcuts, or quickly bypass conflict, allowing them to arrive in town a few hours earlier, and get a head start on the next part of the adventure. Maybe they arrive just in time to be able to talk to the duke before he retires for...

I love the stair descent combat encounter in Chapter 2 of Scale of War. Super fun fight with mines of moria vibes, and some deadly terrain hazards.

I love the stair descent combat encounter in Chapter 2 of Scale of War. Super fun fight with mines of moria vibes, and some deadly terrain hazards. Thanks! I will look that up. I always liked some sort of hazardous terrain in 4E combat and it is certainly something I want to use in my board game.

We are playing 4th edition. Ah, the 5e version of Indomitability's boon works a bit differently. It provides the benefits of stand the heat, automatically stabilizes a dying PC and confers advantage on strength checks or saving throws against being moved. Those benefits are provided to only 2 PCs, so overall it is a bit less powerful than previous editions. The rest of the PCs get tidreaver's tears which only gives advantage on strength ability checks and saving throws against being moved by wind or water.

Would the PCs still have indomitability's boon after defeating him in chapter two (they followed Tiljann's path)? I assume that Indom would remove the boon when the players attack him, but I wanted to make sure that wouldn't cause issues later in the campaign. Thanks Which edition are you playing?
