It was actually about 5 and 1/2 months, and I think I had close to a thousand posts and countless saved threads lost.... that sucked majorly.

4e was fun, I'll give it that, but it's just too simplified for my tastes - and those five alignments rub me the wrong way all over the place. I'm sure I'll come away with this and that from it, and mold it into a 3.75 game system, haha. I really like how much they condensed the skill list, so that was the first thing I did.

Sucks about your group... I just lost two out of 4 players, recently brought in another one of my longtime gaming buddies who had taken a break, and now have 3 myself... one of which is always going to his cabin this summer. Your 3 or 3.5 beats my 2 or 2.5, lmao

Fortunately, Winnipeg has a large gaming community to draw on, so I'm sure we'll add someone to the group. Just all in time...

I remember that crash. Set everything back by like 3 months or something like that. I think I lost some of the work I had as well, but I hadn't realized you'd lost so much. I think that Crash was the reason I started saving my homebrewed stuff onto my computer, just in case.

I've switched to 4e, as has my group. As with 3e, I have my problems, but I'm sure I can sort of create my own version of the game I'm satisfied with.

Unfortunately, once again having gaming problems since one person left for Arizona and the other is constantly being called back to National Guard duty in preparation for his return to Iraq at the end of this year. So having 3-3.5 people doesn't really work well for a group, and none of us know anyone else we can add on [which we tried for when LAST time he went to Iraq].

Hey buddy, it's going really well, thanks And indeed, it has been a long time.... my passion for D&D has been waning for about a year and a half now, really ever since that Great Board Crash where I lost so much work and information....

Happily though, I found that 4e is not for me, and I'm back taking another fresh look at 3.5e and all that I can do with that system - including plenty of House Rules

So, how's gaming going for you?
