Just read the thread. Nice. Sigh.

The reason I thought you were mistaken and I still do, is because in SA, the player, at any point in time, can declare that he wins. Spending a twist will allow you to solve any scenario.

The goal of the game is to keep the game interesting to the participants for as long as possible until either the scenario is resolved to everyone's satisfaction, or any player pushes the eject button and either twists the story into a new shape or simply declares it a win for the party.

Thus, you have an ending that is never in doubt. At any point in time, anyone in the group can end the event in question. The goal isn't to resolve the event, but to make the event as interesting as possible for the participants for as long as possible.

Oh this should be interesting. I haven't been on for a few days so I haven't seen any of the comments. Thanks for the heads up.

I really do like the system. I've got a fairly lengthy campaign swirling around in my head for it, as soon as I can get my fat ass from behind the GM screen and get a break to write. Sigh.

    Hussar,

Despite Snoweel's protests to the contrary (AFAICT, an attempt to simply shut the thread down), I was in no way attempting to misrepresent you. If you like, I will go back and pull quotes to demonstrate the same.

In any event, I did want to thank you for pointing me toward Sufficiently Advanced. I also wanted to thank you for what was an interesting discussion before others muddied the waters.

I double-dog-dare you to make your game sound super cool without comparing it to other editions. - paraphrased from Umbran.
