lol, I see. I was looking for a Dragon pic no one else used. Then I went in some more topics and found it was already used by others, go figure.

I enjoyed your rationale for why they'd be neutral (and agree with it), but I just checked again on d20srd.org (Skeleton :: d20srd.org)

Thanks Leif. I drew it myself for an NPC gelugon named Shactal who liked playing darts and drinking at the Black Sail Tavern in Sigil. Here's a larger image: http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m.../Shactal-1.jpg

    Hi, Leif.
Thanks for keeping an eye out. It'd be good if Halford did come back ... but pbp is a high casualty undertaking (bit like adventuring, really )

I'm really involved in plenty of games on ENWorld at the moment, so I'm not looking very hard for any more. But, if the right game came along, I could probably manage to squeeze it in anyway...... ;-)
I'm for sure up for playing in more RL games! (Bring it on!!) I could even DM, too, as long as you don't mind sticking mostly to commercial modules. [My personal creativity, such as it is, is pledged, mostly, to my Whirtlestaff's Wizards' Academy game and to the Lauralie Summerhome game [ConstablesoftheFourteenthWard thread, that I co-DM with Scotley], and now also my new 4E game here that just recently started (Leif's Keep on the Shadowfell). And now, also, my new Leif's "The Hall of the Rainbow Mage," that is even now beginning to get off the ground. I once said that Scotley bears most of the load for DMing our Constables of the 14th Ward game. Maybe, but maybe not as much as he used to. Ok, 'day-to-day' DMing, yeah, probably. Adventure/environment design? Mmm, not so much.

Here's my idea for a New Feat:

Mage of the Silver Flame
(prerequisites: Intelligence 15 & Wizard level 1+, Charisma 15 & Sorcerer level 1+, or Charisma 15 and Bard level 1+)
(May be taken as a Wizard Bonus Feat)

You have been initiated into the mysteries of the Silver Flame, and learned the secrets of harnessing this reservoir of arcane power. You gain a +2 competency bonus to the DC for saves against your [Fire] spells and spell-like abilities. (This bonus stacks with bonuses from other feats.) Additionally, you can use Burning Hands as a spell-like ability once per day, plus one additional time per day for every 2 caster levels above first. Special: All flame that is produced by your spells/SLAs is a brilliant silver in color.

Any/all comments are still invited and requested. It was way too powerful when originally written, but it has been brought under control, thanks to some great suggestions from amethal.

I'm curious about how each of you players sees his character, and how you see their development progressing. So far, Kerlan has expressed some interest in the crafting of magic items, but I have, perhaps, inadvertently squelched that somewhat. That was not my intention, but I don't really think that selling your crafted items to your own party members should be your primary focus. I mean, you know for a fact that they each have exactly as much money as you have. A much better strategy would be to combine your efforts and sell the resulting items, say potions of comprehend languages, as a totally random example, to the townsfolk of Pembrose. But I digress.... If you wish, please respond to this post and let me know what your character's dream spellbook would contain at, say 9th level, or, better yet, just tell me some of the spells that your character is dying to get his/her hands on. Or just tell me anything that he/she desires, and, if he/she has any specific uses in mind for any of it.

I already get that Francheska the Fire Elf probably REALLY likes fire spells. Hey, here's a question for you: Will Tylara and Francheska necessarily ALWAYS go to the bathroom at the same time? And does Francheska ever have a date that is NOT a HOT date? And does she smoke afterwards? Literally?

We welcome heartily Francheska (Lou), distant cousin of Xavier.

So now we have:

1 Kerlan Rayne, human wiz

2 Delunamanth "Tylara" Tylarapelotheenia, elf druid/wiz

3 Manunukso "Manny" Maliit, brownie sorcerer/wiz

4 Capizzio Del Collines, human rogue/wiz

5 Xavier Zalev, human wiz (with fey heritage) (Granddad liked pointy-ears)

6 Francheska Walova, fire elf wiz

That's everybody, and I'm just as proud as I can be of ALL of you!

Ok, the end of the adventure is in sight, sorta. Admittedly, 'closing' this door 'opens' five or six more, but, still, it's a good place to start a different activity if you want. I feel a little bit bad because I rooked most of you guys into this game with the promise that it would be a Wizard's Academy, but you have yet to spend even one measly day at the actual academy.

And truly, I've been so anticipating finishing up this hobgoblin dungeon, that I forgot that it is only a SMALL part of this whole adventure. There's LOTS more stuff to do and mischief for you to get neck deep (to a tall giraffe) in!

TO COMMENT, click on the title of the blog entry on which you wish to comment, and you will be taken to a screen that has just that blog post, plus room for comments.

Anyway, I'm interested to hear what you guys all think about this, or anything else. Please post comments frequently and immediately!
