I love the politics of the Forgotten Realms. I believe Game Balance comes not from numerical fiddling, but from having a counter to every possible idea. I love pie.
I'm also into cooking, camping, dancing, and nerding out in every way.

- I run a game where the rest of the world is active even if the players aren't paying attention. I'm not a murderous DM but I'm not afraid to let someone die through their own actions. If you put yourself in harm's way and never get hurt then you aren't really in harm's way. Likewise, caution is helpful, if a bit boring at times.
If you piss off the town guards, expect jail time, and if you get away, expect to be hunted to a reasonable extent. Yes, you're the heroes, and if you act like it you're going to be treated that way. Act like a villain and guess what? Heroes start hunting you, because that's the way D&D worlds work. I don't see it as punishment so much as a logical extension of the fantasy genre tropes. I like the game world to be bigger than the heroes. You aren't the only people that are active participants in the world, and it shouldn't ever feel like you are. That doesn't mean you can't change things, just that you have to work to stay ahead of the game.

- My Character
- My oldest character is a paladin from 2nd edition that got converted to third edition, and is level 15 with Wild Talent Psionics that we still use the 2nd edition rules for because 3rd edition psionics are just a spell point system instead of the interesting and unique system that it used to be.
