I've mentioned you to Radiating Gnome, who expressed some unhappiness with the core skill challenge system. That guy has superbly been analyzing and capturing the non-math elements of skill challenges and what makes them shine. Now that I just noticed Andreas R's comment offering a publishing deal... maybe you two could collaborate and create a handbook for DM's who want to run a good skill challenge?

Hello Stalker0 - I've got some ideas for publishing your excellent material on how to make 4E more mathematically sound as well as more interesting. Interested in being published? Mail me <invert the following> com.gmail@stormhierta and we can discuss the details

After translation, it looks like that: (if you happen to have the fonts...)
    אורב0
Pronounced "Orev", for stalker or lurker. Also, by replacing one letter but keeping the pronounciation, it means raven.

    Howdy Stalker0,
Would you allow me to translate the Obsidian (or the alternate core system, or both) to Hebrew?
I'm the translator of the Hebrew edition of D&D4. The PHB is coming out in a few weeks, but the players will have to wait for the DMG for at least two months. For the meanwhile, I would like to offer some kind of skill challange system on my (private) site.
I like yours, and would like to suggest it as an alternative for those who wait for the official one. I can't suggest that in the PHB, ofc, but on my own site, there shouldn't be any problem.

Stalker0, we share an interest in the math behind Skill Challenges. Your comments would be welcome on a thread I've generated:

Its still being worked on. Its a world, similar to Shadowrun, very gritty, complex, but quite low magic. It is focused on stronger support for roleplaying than 4e offers. We plan to offer the game for a free download, and sell premium books and screens to those that like it. I'll make sure you get appropriate credit. Now, what is your full name, for the credit?

As long as I get full credit for my ideas, I don't mind the system being used for other applications. Please tell me more about what you were considering?

Hello Stalker0. I really enjoy your Obsidian Skill Challenge system, and I was wondering what kind of usage rights you have for it? As in, can it be used in another tabletop RPG, one that I and others are working on? It is a fantastic system, and really supports our goal of encouraging roleplay.

Hey Stalker, did you see this post:

    http://www.enworld.org/forum/showpos...9&postcount=65

The idea is to make the "aid another" part of the excitement of the skill challenge. It is really rough the way I laid it out, but you get the idea?
