Am I loosing my Marbles?

Last night, at about this same time (ie: around 1-2am'ish CST) I replied twice, I'll get to that in a sec, to a thread that had someone asking about a 'scene' from the old Gord the Rogue novels. I go to see if anyone else had replied today, only to discover that the thread was apparently gone. There are threads from days before I replied to it, and I got the verification that my post had made it to the server. What gives?

Related question/gripe: In the "User CP" panel/page there's a list of threads your account is subscribed to. I'd noticed that, usualy, any thread I replied to got added to that list. This is a feature I realy like. Note that I said 'usualy', as it's not a definate and doesn't seem to be behaving that way very much at all lately. Is this supposed to work that way, where you reply to a thread and get 'subscribed' to it? Why is it doing it sporaticaly? God only knows how badly I need this, as I tend to reply at the wee hours of the AM and subsequently loose track of thread names that I wanted to follow, at least for a bit.

Oh yes, I just remembered yet another thread that I should have been subscribed to (I think) because I'd replied to it, yet I can't even find that thread at all. I believe I replied to it yesterday as well. It delt with a general 'how much 'help' do you need, subscription-wise, and what exactally would it go to purchase or rent?'.

Hatchling Dragon - done rambling again, and going to bed

I'll have a look. Sounds like a glitch rather than a setting, though.

I'll second that motion ... I replied to the 448 MB of Ram thread ... and now it seems as though it never existed ... searched the pages but didn't see it ...

there's also a thread about 1/2 hd + dire template which seems to be missing

(mind you I could be a loon :P)

Remember that we're dealing with two almost, but not quite entirely different forum databases here:

1) the enworld.org database from a couple of days ago, while everyone was on test.cyberstreet.com;
2) the test.cyberstreet.com database, which is copied from a week-old backup of the boards (or thereabouts).

Anything that was posted to the test.cyberstreet.com board would have been added to database 2. This basically includes all posts in the last two days. This database has now been replaced by database 1. Database 2, for all intents and purposes, no longer exists; at least that's the working assumption I'd use until Morrus says otherwise.

The "448 Mb" thread you refer to was posted to database 2. Hence it no longer exists.
