The oddities with yesterday's server test explained

Morrus,

I think that one major reason behind yesterday's seemingly low traffic, etc. during the server test can be readily explained. Unlike our current site (and mortality.net's site), cyberstreet is set up to allow for only one username per email address. As you may recall, many of us had problems with completing registration during the test at mortality, and couldn't/didn't receive accurate password links or replies from Adlon. When this occured, most of us simply registered again (and again as needed) until we could properly login and assist in the server test.
Yesterday, however, problems such as these meant that we simply couldn't participate unless we had another email address available. I attempted to register less than five minutes after the testing began, but never received a password to use during the login procedure. After three attempts to reset my password without receiving an email notification from the administrator, I tried another username. Sadly, I did not have access to another email account yesterday and cyberstreet only allows one ID per address. Thus, "Quickbeam" got registered but I couldn't login whatsoever, because a confirmation email with password was never received.

The odd thing was though, that the traffic on the test server was less even than traffic on the regular boards with the user limit in place (the number of simultaneous users only hit 118 at maximum). I'm not entirely sure what that means, but I'm trying to figure something out
Here's a thought:
what if the ENBOards have been compromised?
Perhaps the amount of users on the ENBoards are not all members that are RPG'ers (hacker-types)

I have no clue what benefit this would give them, but it doesn't make sense to me that very late at night or early in the morning, there are >200 actual ENBoarders online.

Maybe when you shifted over to the other servers, that's the actual accurate count of how many users there are using the boards?

When it's very late at night were you are it's mid afternoon somewere else. We have a lot of members from all over the place. I think it's far more likely the time difference that causes the boards to be busy all the time than any hacker interference.
