That burning feeling

I just got hit with one of the worst flames I have seen on EnWorld--I have lurked for a while--here in reply #31 of this thread, after cathing heat earlier in the same thread, and I don't really know why

Dinkledog responded, and I guess it is not that big of a deal, but still, it was like I was on the usenet or something

Just thought I would share

Let it roll off your back. Vanion is a good guy, he just doesn't always feel the need to be diplomatic. In spite of his post count, he has a damned good understanding of the game. I've known him for years, so I guess I'm used to him.

Thats to be expected (there is also a Bible thread...) though it is great that people have been so mature...

Being called a whore for talking about your homebrew (in a highly relevant context), that is less expected, at least on Enworld

well in lingo.... what you were doing is commonly referred on ENWurld and other sites as....

pimping. thus, i'm sure part of it is a misunderstanding in use of phrase.
the other part is that the other guy is an arse.

stow it, pimping, "F", shameless, whore...

I could handle just pimping by itself...

I know that feeling.. Was taken to task (by a mod, no less!) for saying that someone who couldn't handle responding to an e-mail once a week probably shouldn't -use- e-mail (that would have been in lieu of having -16- threads use weekly in a relatively high-traffic forum..) And then wouldn't allow the matter to be dropped as a "difference of opinion" until I posted that he was right and I was wrong. Ahh the joy of bulletin boards.

I believe so, but seemed to care much more about the issue than I did, and luckily didn't appear to detect sarcasm, so it's all good.

Actually, gang, since the original problem has been addressed I'm going to close this as well. As always, report the post (little triangle button at the bottom left of every post) when you run across flames and we'll tackle the problem.
