Problems with drop down menus and chatroom

I am having a problem with the drop down menus (such as Site Menu, My Account) in that nothing drop downs. If I right click, I get a menu to open in a new window, etc., that does nothing except open a copy of the existing page. Perhaps I need to change my browser settings. (I just got a new browser.) So, I am unable to access the member list or even My Account.

I am able to click on the link to the chatroom, where in the past I had a java applet box pop up to enable me to chat. I can open up the base page, but nothing pops up.

Michael,

I just set up a new PC, which has AOL 9.0 and Internet Explorer 6. I have set the browser to accept cookies, and to trust content from http://www.enworld.org.

Should be working then. Hmm - the drop downs are written in javascript, so make sure that's enabled. Also, download Firefox, it's safer than IE

Thanks. I downloaded Mozilla, and it is working better than IE. I am able to get the site's drop down menus.

As for the chatroom, I get the pop up and have clicked on it. So far, it did not connect in a few attempts. (I am not connecting to the server for some reason. However, I do get the base screen that states that I am logging in.)

Michael, I appreciate the advice as well as your efforts on behalf of the site. Thanks.

Any chance that you can make the July 9th Chicago EN World Gameday?

Nope - Chicago is a 10 hr drive and I have classes to worry about in Java and C++

No problem, although we would love to have you. I think I have found the problem with my chatroom access. Norton Internet Worm Protection showed me an intrusion attempt alert when I clicked on the Java Applet acceptance pop up. So, I will see about adjusting my settings.
