Has anyone else has trouble with ENWorld lately? Yesterday was especially bad. It took nearly 5 minutes every time I clicked on something.

Spoony Bard has a (small) notice that the board will be experiencing slow times for the next few days as the search table is reindexed. I was having a hard time even posting new threads last night.

The reindexing is over but it is hanging up somewhere between 2,500,000 and the end. I need to figure out why. Meanwhile I'll check other problems this evening after work.

Just talking out my rear here, but is there any chance it is related to DB logging? I'm not familiar enough with MySQL to know, but could there be an issue where the DB logs need to be committed so they are purged?

Only the rare page that takes three of four tries to load, other than that I have had smooth sailing.

I don't think so - I don't think MyISAM type tables use logging - but it might be it. I'll look into it tonight.

I've been able to post ok in regular threads, but I've been trying to post a press release and it just hangs and times out. I don't know if it's related to the other issues.

That's what happens when you're popular I guess.

Check out This Thread. I think you may find that EN World is not only running smooth again, but I'm thinking maybe faster than it has for a long while!
