MetaPost comments and questions about the messageboards and other parts of EN World. If you have a problem, this is where to go. Moderator email addresses are posted here.
I'm just wondering... what kind of analysis do moderators do to try to figure out who is or isn't a troll? Do you see who the most ignored users are?
The reason I ask is there is one person (well, one ID) that seems to have been around for quite a while engaging in low-fi trolling behaviour, and I'm wondering if this ID will ever be shut down - or how someone could go about politely raising the issue with a moderator.
Use the "Report Post" feature, and add any extra info you feel might be relevant. Out of nearly 50k members, it is very likely that someone can post for ages without us noticing if nobody points it out. We've no tool to check who's being ignored.
Bear in mind, some of us just used Charisma as our dump stat...so what might seem like trolling might not be intended to be.
You minmaxer, you.

Hey Houston EN Worlders! Interested in Getting together? Let's meet up and have lunch or something!
I'm thinking that if there are people who are on lots of ignore lists, then the system is working as it should and people aren't reading posts by other people that wind them up...

That's why I play a Bard, and I get all the chicks.
rycanada, I don't know if you've ever tried the ignore feature, but I've found it to work great, especially with the recent upgrade that removed any trace of the post on the screen. I've found that people here tend not to respond to the people I consider pseudo-trolls, and ignore works really well for them.
