MetaPost comments and questions about the messageboards and other parts of EN World. If you have a problem, this is where to go. Moderator email addresses are posted here.
I've made an observation about some users of EnWorld since the 4E announcement.
It is only anecdotal on my part, but I've noticed a number of long term 'lurkers' (those with old accounts, up to 5-6 years old but with very modest post counts [around a 100]) seem to be posting in the 4E thread.
To me that indicates a definate level of excitement or interest in the new edition if it is bringing them out of the woodwork to add their 2 copper pieces worth.

WotC would have to be happy about that.
Unless they are all coming out to slam 4e. They might not be quite so happy then.
Since this site really got rolling due to 3e news, it doesn't surprise me that some posters drifted away when there wasn't big news like a new edition, only to come back when there was once again big news to follow.

Heck, we mods have noticed also a large number of former forum posters who aren't as active anymore have suddenly returned. I'm glad to see them, myself - it's like going back to the high school reunion briefly.

If there's one dragon, it's a solo monster.
If there's five dragons, they're standard monsters.
If there's a dozen dragons, either most of them are minions or your DM is tired of the campaign.

Not only have I seen people reappearing, but there's been a TON of new posters, too.
Nah, that's just all the people hit with the banhammer logging in with new names.

So, a name tag with your catchphrase and a bunch of people you didn't like?
Er, not that one of those is coming up for me or anything...
