MetaPost comments and questions about the messageboards and other parts of EN World. If you have a problem, this is where to go. Moderator email addresses are posted here.
I just deleted the accounts of anyone who has never posted and who hasn't visited the boards in the last 6-7 months (about 440 people.) I excluded a few folks (such as the Legion of Kwalish), but most of them went the way of all things.
There are about another 1700 people who have 0 posts, a fair amount of which are more recent. Of these, some 650 are "awaiting email confirmation" (i.e. either they registered and never confirmed, or their confirmation email was swallowed by a spam filter.) If you're one of these folks, feel free to email me and we'll get you straightened out.
All this means that there are closer to 4600 active users than 6300. That's still a lot!

May I suggest you also post this in the General forum, possibly with a sticky. The meta forum get s a lot less traffic and since this messsage is aimed towards the newbies, they might not even be aware of what goes on down here.

Personally, I think its due to rather poor content. Rule questions, gaming anecdotes, story hours, phooey!
What the EN boards need are more good threads about politics and religion -- absolutely guaranteed to draw the masses out of lurking!!

He went out of the room for a moment, and Cotgrave, in high delight,
turned to his friend and thanked him for the introduction.
"He's grand," he said. "I never saw that kind of lunatic before."
It seems my confirmation email was sucked into the net sphere of annihilation. I looked for your email, but can't get it from the boards and did not find an admin email for you to get my confirmation. Of course I probably failed a search check. Please advise.
