for Pathfinder RPG category in the Plots, Places & Rogues! forum

It probably isn't a priority for this, but when and if there is enough time it would be a good idea.

I would suggest a Pathfinder RPG sub forum a la the 4th Edition forum. I'm not a Pathfinder hater, but I'm already tired of the threads cluttering up and monopolizing the conversation under the 4th Edtion forum.

I salute Paizo's effort and wish them well, but I don't want to play. Can ENWorld give the Pathfinder fans their own place to talk?

My Drow War blog: http://drowwar.blogspot.com/ has died.

But wait! There's more: Greyshad a D&D 4th edition campaign.

One of these days I'll run a game that doen't die. But the one I'm playing is a blast!

It would be for for characters in the PbP forums or characters in a Pathfinder/Homebrew system, not discusiion of the system.

Eeek! Give it a chance! It was only announced yesterday!

Lets wait a few months and see if a forum is needed here. We can't open a new forum every time a company announces a new product line.

While absolutely true, this isn't going to go away soon. We already have over a dozen PF treads spread out over two different sub forums, and I'm confident that that number will increase dramatically. I would prefer a centralized place for all PF discussion, just as 3E and 4E have. While it is theoretically an OGL game and should be discussed in the appropriate sub forum, PF is bit different then most previous OGL games, as it directly caters to a decent portion of the D&D crowd that will remain interested in a 3.5 like game. I can understand the frustration some of the pro only 4E crowd has, some of the discussion between pro3E and pro4E is... [understatement]Not very nice...[/understatement]

If we would have a separate forum for 4E and PF then maybe the discussions would be more 'friendly' as (hopefully) each side stays on their own side of the forum (regarding this issue).

ps. One of the reasons you'll see a lot more discussions here is because Paizo seems to use forum software that is powered by a Sphere of Annihilation, posts disappear in oblivion. Not to mention that it seems that they only have one page of active posts, once they no longer fit on that page they fall of the end off the world board.

We've seen this before. There is a big announcement and we get dozens of threads. In a month though there is maybe one or two on the subject. That's why Morrus waits to open new forums. I mean look at all the big announcements there has been and then look at all the new forums they have warranted.

No, doing that might be seen as spam and get you a warning or worse from the mods. And it would take constant conversation in many threads from many users to indicate that a new forum is needed.

If that's the case, it'll prove itself soon enough! We don't second-guess or predict; we follow the need like sheep.

It's worked for 7 years.
