Board problems, especially with editing posts

RRRRRRGGGGGGG. Not only are the forums running slower than molasses nearly all the time, making it difficult to read or post anything at all, but now I can't even properly edit my old posts in one of my own threads. I'm trying to update my Aurelia thread, and despite trying at different times of day, it isn't working right.

When I try to edit a post, I get an error from the boards saying that my post is too short. When in fact it seems that the boards no longer support posts of the length I had originally posted, to where I can't edit the class details or anything unless I cut out most of what I had previously posted to that single post, and split up into 2 or 3 smaller posts. I'm trying to add just a few short paragraphs' worth of new class feature options, but the boards won't allow it.

So I have to divide up my old posts, even as I try to cut and paste them to make room in adjacent posts for half of the previous post's original text, just so the previous post can have a small amount added to it.... And then the next post I try to edit in order to make that room is apparently also too long for the boards now, as when I try to cut and paste its text into another post in the thread (replacing the placeholder text that was there), I get the same error to where it won't let me just move that other post's original text into a different post, replacing what was in that post initially.....


I'm not being very clear, I know, but my point is, the boards are acting screwy and apparently don't allow posts anywhere near as long as they used to. Seeing as I have to chop up old posts into 3 pieces just to relocate them into 3 new posts or replacing placeholder text in 3 other old posts. I can't even switch the text in two posts, without adding anything extra to either, because the forums don't allow the old posts to be as long as they originally were....


And that aside, the smilies don't seem to work right anymore. Only the few listed on the side now work, and all the old ones seem to be gone. When I click the More link to try and access the other smiley icons, it pops up a tiny window saying this:

I'm having problems too. I've suddenly lost the ability to post, not sure why I can post here but not in the 4e board.

Might be connected with changing my email adress last night in my control panel, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

After looking it over, I think my problem is you need to re-activate your account if you switch e-mail addresses, and I haven't recieved an email (even after deactivating my spam filter.) Is the mechanism that sends those out broken?

Also, clicking on the "contact the webmaster" link reveals that there is no e-mail address included in the link.
