Horizontal scroll bars on the news page?

Michael - is it possible to remove the horizontal scroll bars under each article on the news page? I've viewing the page at 1600 x 1200 and I'm sure I don't need them!

Thanks

IE 6.0.2900 on XP SP2.

Just tried it on Firefox 2.0.0.14 and there are no horizontal scrollbars. Looks like an IE(6) issue. It looks much nicer without the scrollbars.

I can't even get the page to *open* on IE 6, let alone see what it looks like, though this is due to a bug in Tredosoft's Multiple IE tool.

I'm guessing the problem is a table in a div with margins - IE 6 is stupid, it thinks 100% means 100% of window when the specification calls for it to mean 100% of available space.

The only way I can test it or a fix is to buy a new computer - and I'm out of a job and short on cash.

I would strongly recommend at the very least upgrading to IE 7.

No problems - I can use portableApps FF2 until the default browser is upgraded to IE7.

Be aware though, that some people will think the front page is messy because they're viewing using IE6, and won't realise it's IE's fault.

If sites don't break on them they'll never upgrade. If they never upgrade web technology will stagnate. At some point you just got to yell and say, "Stop using IE 6"
