How Do I? subscriptions question

How do I set it so that I have to actively choose to subscribe to a thread? I've currently got it set to automatically subscribe if I post to a thread, but I can't remember how I set that option. Help! 1000 subscriptions!

Go to My Account in the menu bar near the top of the forum page.

Then scroll down to the "settings and options" section in the left menu bar.

Choose "Edit Options".

In the "Messaging and Notifications" section, you'll find "Default Thread Subscription Mode". Set the drop-down menu to "Do not subscribe".
