Trend icons redundant

Since I've an old computer I have to turn off all the options like sig's and avatar pic's in order for the forums to load at a pace that won't drive me utterly insane.

So I tend to notice redundant features such as the trend icons on each forum page.

Umm... they're all pointing down, obviously. The way the forums are set, so that the most recent posted to topic goes to the top, makes the trend icons utterly redundant.

Is there any way to get rid of them as it's just something extra the page has to render (load time isn't a concern as it's just one tiny icon, but when a page has to render thirty of them, a slow computer notices it...) and thus slows down the forum performance for people like me with old computers.

Just a thought.

Err... what the heck are trend icons?

If they're what I think you think they are, we don't have any.

That's what I suspect, but if so they aren't trend icons. The one the points down controls sort order, and the one that points right takes you to the last post in the thread.

Sort order? All the ones pointing down do what exactly? The last post ones I wasn't referring to, they have a use, but the 'sort order' ones only seem to point downwards indicating that they're trend icons.
