Why are The Sigil's posts 2" too wide?

Every post from Spencer is too wide for the browser. I have to scroll left/right to read his posts-- which is doubly annoying cause he usually has something interesting to say. I mean, if it was Piratecat I could probably live with it.

Is there something wonky in his name or avatar bar?

There's a sample thread, though I have to admit now that it only seems to happen with my Netscape browser-- not IE.

The Sigil's posts show up fine to me (on IE 5, 5.5, & 6, at 800x600). drnuncheon's, OTOH, are too wide to me.

In both cases, I think it's the images in the .sig's. For the Sigil, it's probably those red, white, & green horizontal rules. Might be something about 'em that Netscape doesn't handle correctly.

The Sigil has disabled Experience Points
Why are my posts 2" too big? Um... because size DOES matter?

Seriously, though - I have removed the red/white/green rulebars from my .sig to see if that was the problem. Let me know on this thread, Wulf.

Seems to have worked!

You're right, though... I should pay more attention to my flood of email spam-- who couldn't use another 2 or 3 inches, after all?
