Advertising Options

Is it possible to purchase advertising that appears exlcusively on the messageboard, not the main page?

Sorry, no. It's a very simple system and doesn't allow for specific locations for different ads.

It's a shame, too.

I'd happily pay to advertise solely in Piratecat or Sepulchrave's Story Hour thread!

Trailblazer is now available. Questions? Try HERE. What folks are saying:
Spoiler:
  • I am profoundly impressed. The mathematical analyses were very enlightening, and the revisions based on those analyses were right on the money.
  • This is the best $4.95 I have ever spent on a gaming product.
  • This is exactly what a 3.75 ruleset should look like. If you really want to stick with a 3.5-based system, I think Trailblazer is the way to go.
  • Some of the changes are bold to say the least, and I don't agree with everything, but I really like the analytic approach.
  • The solution to multiclassed spellcasters is so elegant and effective that it should probably be adopted by all d20 games.
  • Really suffers in comparison to Pathfinder. Black and white with little to no art vs. full-color, loaded with art.

I'm curious, do you know how the advert program selects which banner to send out each time a page is loaded? It doesn't seem to be just random, because I consistently get a given banner several times in a row.

Edit: Okay, maybe it is just random, now that I actually sit down and reload the page over and over. But I could have sworn getting Badaxe Games banner and the Chronicles of Anyaka banner three or four times in a row each. Maybe it was just luck. Or a hallucination.

That's most likely because Badaxe and Chronicles have paid for more impressions. So, their particular ads are getting served up far more often than some of the other advertisers. I see Badaxe's all the time on here, but for awhile it seems like all I saw were Bastion Press' "Oathbound".

It's kind of like TV advertising - if Coke buys three times as many ads in a given week than Pepsi, you're much more likely to see a Coke ad when you turn on the TV. [In a very general sense, of course - targeting and program selection will be factors as well but that's boring media planning stuff].

It's entirely random.

Thanks. Any idea how long it takes for a purchase of 25,000 impressions to be used up?

Not long - depends how many other banners are in rotation. Anything between a day or two and a week.
