Signatures and HTML code?

I noticed that the HTML was turned off in signatures. Any reason for this? I ask only because (in order to keep my signature from being too long) I tended to put mine in a table format -- which (as far as I am aware) is not supported in ubCode.

Working on the admin panel last night reminded me that allowing html in sigs is a Very Bad Idea. It even gets the "strongly NOT recommended" label by the people who put together the bbs, because it allows someone malicious to really sabotage things. This was brought home to me the other week when someone's sig was completely messing up the columns for every thread he posted in.

I'll chat with Morrus about this, but I'm certainly more comfortable with it turned off.
