| *grumble* why is it almost every time someone gets drunk, they have to announce it on the board?
Soon i'm gonna start announcing when I go to the bathroom or get high. Seriously.

*grumble* | I'll echo this thought, though I think 'almost everytime someone gets drunk' may be a slight exxaggeration.

| I think it more likely that the filter between their thoughts and their posts is decreased, if not eliminated entirely, which is why they make such announcements. Fortunately getting drunk is apparently a far less momentous occasion for many of the community members, given the fact that sych announcements are in the minority. If it were announced every time a member of this community were drunk, you would have to sift through numerous drunk announcements to get to anything gaming related.

| why is it almost every time someone gets annoyed over not-much-at-all, they have to announce it on the board without any real hint at what is in the thread based on the title?

| Well, seeing as how I mentioned this very thing in the last such post, I'll just chime in with agreement here.
It just doesn't seem appropriate for ENWorld.
I don't think Eric's Grandma would care to find a bunch of drunks passed out on her lawn.
PS - The thread title could be a little more informative.

| For the record, the mods appear to be in agreement that it's tacky at best, and not something we want to encourage here. |
