Suddenly, Pointless! or, "My players stay out!" threads

It just occurred to me that those "Player X stay OUT!" and "My players stay out!" threads you see from time to time (there's one in General right now) are worse than useless on these cool new boards.

Players can hold their cursor over the thread title, and see what their DM is whinging about while still obeying the DM's "keep out" rule.

We could warn them...if only we spoke Hovitos.

Many times the most important part of those threads is the responses. Nevertheless, the discerning DM leaves spoiler space at the top of the post.

If a player wants to read them, he'll read them. I don't think the curser text really matters.

yeah, I've noticed this as well. What I'd suggest is a misleading title to the thread- ignore the players and misdirect those who'd respond. When asking really relevent and important questions about how to foil your pcs entitle the thread something like, o I don't know, "I'm drunk" or something.
