Trying to find the "high bluff skill" thread. HELP!!

A while back there was a thread about uses for a really high bluff skill. In it someone gave a story like example where he convinced an attacker that they were already dead, that they were actually a ghost now and continually acting out the doomed attack that got them killed. Then he went on to convince the attacker to hand over his sword which he then used to kill the attacker.

I've been abusing the search function for a half an hour trying to find this post so I can show that story to my wife cause it reminds me of every character she runs.

If ANYBODY knows what the heck I'm talking about and can give me a link, or recreate the story, I will be very grateful. It's driving me crazy.

I remember that thread. I'll spend some time and try to track it down. You remember what forum it was in, or roughly how long ago? Better yet, if anyone reading this remembers posting in it, please let us know here.

Try to search for "glibness". The potion of glibness was probably mentioned in that thread.

I did several searches a while back on some things, and there seems to be a huge gap in the dates of results that it comes back with. Like, it jumps from sometime in the fall, to like 2002 right away. Odd.

This calls for a search database re-index!

A typical search index is several million rows. Rebuilding it now and then is healthy (although it will take several hours and put some load on the server).

Probably. I did the search for "Glibness" in General, and 5 results were returned. The 4th result was dated 9/15/2003, and the 5th result was dated 3/11/2002.
