And I am seeing seeing it on some other threads as well. Always associated with quotes. I am using IE 5.5 (I know, it's old), and viewing at 1024 x 768, if it helps.

I see it, too. (Also using IE 5.5) And if I remember correctly, Michael Morris said in past thread regarding this problem that it was a flaw/problem inherent to versions of the IE prior to V. 6.
Well, I've installed Mozilla and now I can read the boards. Douane, I don't know what OS you have, but if you're stuck using IE 5.5 because of an Older OS (like me using Win95) I'd try this out. It seems to be working fine after the install and a reboot.
EDIT: Well would you look at that. I finally hit a thousand posts. 1006 actually, and I hadn't even noticed.
