Just curious as to whether you are aware combining the EN World News site w/the Message Boards on login makes it impossible to access the front page from behind most corporate firewalls.

Then he is also probably aware that the folks with jobs are more likely to support the site financially.

In the long term, it's either combine things into the one application, or stay with a very unstable setup. Server loads have decreased drastically, despite messageboard usage increasing by a noticeable margin in the last few days.

It's a balancing act; an unstable setup for everyone, or a stable setup which, unfortunately, does affect some people. The instability affected a lot of people, too, and a lot of people were getting very, very fed up with it all.

Incidentally, what is it exactly about the new setup which is detected by firewalls? Perhaps it's something which can be "disguised" or changed in some way?
