This has never worked for me but I was hoping that maybe I was doing something wrong... I doubt this, as PMs seem to go unnoticed.
Anyhow when you get a PM there is an option to have a window pop up to inform you of this.
I have this option checked, this function works on other boards for me, and I don’t run a pop up blocker so I’m not seeing how this could be on my side. (I also browse ENworld from a number of machines. OS are NT 40, XP Home, 2000.)
Is there any chance of getting this feature to work?
I have an e-mail sent to me when ever I get a PM, that works very well.
I do to. To be honest this isn't about me as I have my email open and browse the board at the same time its for others who log on without doing the other.

I've had the status for quite sometime, and the capability but it's never worked as long as I've had it and judging by how PMs can fall through the cracks, like right now I have a PM nonfiction that's been sitting since the 30 of May and I know the user has been online. If the windows pop up this wouldn't happen or it would be harder for this to happen.

Yeah the popups don't work, I have it checked too, but when I was playing the RPG, I got several PMs while I was online and didn't get a popup message, I don't have the email notification of PMs on so I didn't know at all.

Guys, the option that's linked to would add two extra queries / page load / user (That's a lot of processor time). Let's wait for the new server before turning it on, k?
