Well, if you agree that everything goes better with bacon, but don't want the bad nutrition, there IS in fact a solution. I heard about this on the radio some months ago. Haven't gotten any yet, but it's probably only a matter of time.

If bacon is cooked in our household it won't last long enough for bacon bits to be done.

Bacon my cheese burgers tonight sound really really good....

Did that tonight myself. Though admittedly with turkey bacon, since that's somewhat healthier than the regular kind. Got to watch what I eat if I want to gain that muscle for my goal weight!

From now on for the rest of my life: no bacon (unless it absolutely can't be avoided) and no sausage.

My health kick is already paying off. I've already lost 20 pounds.

Personally, I think bacon is safer to eat then sausage (considering that when you eat sausage there's a chance that you are eating something else besides pork meat).

There is an Ice Cream vendor in Rehoboth Beach at the end of Rehoboth Avenue (1 or 2 stores down from the boardwalk) that sells 71 flavors of ice cream. One of which happened to be bacon.

It was only palatable. Not as tasty as I thought it would be. Yes, there were real pieces of bacon in it.

My conclusion? Stick with pig candy for sweet bacony goodness. The following link sums it up pretty well: Bacon - Pig Candy - The Virtual Weber Bullet but I usually don't like the cayenne added. Or you could follow http://www.wchstv.com/gmarecipes/pigcandy.shtml

Now that's some tasty bacon.

Oh, and the difference between a sammich and a sandwich is your attitude. You eat sammiches when you feel young and giddy about the thought and experience of having a sandwich. Otherwise, you're just eating a sandwich. Nostalgia plays a big part in that attitude.

Yes, your turkey sandwich needs bacon. It also needs avocado.

Bacon on a turkey sandwich is ideal, but not required. Panera Bread Company has a good turkey bacon sandwich.

As for the bacon and chocolate lovers out there - I saw this bar at Whole Foods one day but the price tag put me off. But it does show you that they are out there.

Ross Geller "SOMEONE ATE MY SANDWICH!"

But I would agree with you that the best Turkey Sandwich can only be made after cooking a whole turkey.

I will have to disagree with you on the avocado, but I have similar sentiments regarding mayonase and cranberry relish. For some reason, delis here in Portland can't resist slathering their turkey sandwiches with this combination of oozes.

Ick.

This is definitely an ugly turn to this thread - now I'm imagining a cranberry and avocado sandwich. I approve of mayonnaise, in moderation.

I can see the thought process turkey dinner has cranberry relish, so the sandwich should to. Of course this also leads to adding Yams and marshmallows to the sandwich which is just going further in the wrong direction.
