One more gamer... baking in the oven...

well it has been quite a while since i've posted or even lurked here. RL has a tendency to get in the way sometimes. but I thought I would dropped a friendly hello and a "I'm not dead yet!" out to the crowd.
Also I would like to announce that my very soon to be wife will be bringing forth a new gamer into the ranks in the coming months. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Congrats on the bambino! My youngest just turned 16 and is starting to drive, I can't get much more afraid than that. Oh, and welcome back, don't be a stranger!

On one hand, taking away their weapons is a dead giveaway that they will need them. On the other hand, by the time conflict starts the players will already have opened the rulebooks and found the parts that deal with bare-handed combat, performing disarm moves, and using improvised weapons. Players may blunder through dialog with shocking ineptitude, forget the name of the country they are in, or get confused about which side they are on, but once it comes time to roll for initiative they all turn into Sun Tzu. - Shamus Young DM of the Rings

thanks for the welcome et al.

of course once the little one arrives I doubt I'll have much time to post or lurk then too. so I figure I'll try to get as much in as I can now.
