That would be my guess. It's weird, but I've had that happen quite a bit to me over the years, where girls with boyfriends (both in and out of the hobby) have hit on me.
Poor female deprived male con-goers. WHEN WILL YOU EVER LEARN? This is why Gencon and the Stitches west knitting convention should merge...

This manipulation can be attirbutied to the Evil of the Woman. It doesn't matter that unknowing pawns might be hurt in the crossfire. Indeed, what is important is the reaction her beau with have.
Or they have a very open relationship. What I don't like is that the DM has their signifigant other in the game. If you're going to game with people you know, why go to a con?
