Can You Beat "The Game"?

I'm sure there are going to people that will eventually hate me for linking to this but I feel that I must share the pain.

Can you beat "The Game"?

Just read the hints on the link above and see how you go.

So far I'm up to level 17. I know that there are over 30 levels and an end level hasn't been confirmed yet.

Feel free to post your curses and frustration here!

Interesting. It reminds me of this game.

Yeah, I discovered that game after I came across "the game". I think the creator of "the game" said he used "notpron" as inspiration for his game. The first 3 levels are certainly very similar.

I've only played "notpron" a little bit (stuck on level 5 there). So far it seems a bit more difficult than "the game". It is certainly a lot longer.

Well I got to 7 no problem, but apparently you need speakers for it so I can't advance until I get home.

Exactly how long do you have to keep the mouse still on Level 2 until the door opens?

Yup, I pressed enter, I didn't click it. Maybe its the browser. I switched back to Avant 'cause I was getting sick of Chrome's limitations.

EDIT: Crap, even Chrome isn't letting me advance to level 3.

EDIT: Okay, Now I'm on level 3. So dark; and the creepy noises don't help.

You can do 7 without speakers but it would be a lot more cryptic. With speakers I didn't find it too hard to get. I struggled with number 5 though. That one stumped me for a while.

I found number 11 particularly difficult as well as number 17. The rest took a bit of trial and error but I could get through them without too much trouble.

Whitemouse, on level 2 are you seeing the pop-up when you hover over the door?

This game is officially drivin' me barmy.

Also, not good trying to play it when you're half asleep.

No, definetly not. Though it reminds me of the good ol' games like Space Quests etc, where you had to turn your brains to "special game logic" to work out the puzzles.

Like it's perfectly logical that in order to catch a falling rock you need to rub bubblegum on your helmet and go stand under the rock. So when it falls it gets stuck to your helmet

I don't understand what you're saying. It's like you're talking in some sort of code.

The level after "memento" is probably the easiest level to solve besides the first 4. It was for me at least.

It is? I can't get it....

EDIT: Ah, the problem was my rusty codebreaking. Mistranslated one letter
