Leng, lips split wide in a fierce grin, dashes after the remaining pirate. "I'm going to strike you down like a dog, you... dog!" he yells, heedless of the exact words. His gun whistles through the air, striking the bandit a ringing blow across the shoulders -- just as Leng's foot sweeps the hapless man's legs out from under him, sending him crashing to the ground!

I'm a bit confused as to the layout, so not including any situational bonuses such as flanking or warlord stuff. As long as Leng can get adjacent to the bad guy with a move action, this should work.

Move: get adjacent
Standard: attack with spinning sweep. +8 vs AC. Hits AC 24 for 7 damage, and the target is knocked prone. It's also marked with combat challenge.

The man takes a spin in the air, and falls over his back, with a sonorous “thud”. He exhaled his last “Ou…” and remained motionless on the ground.

Wei Dan smiles with satisfaction, but her face get serious as you all hear the yells of a group of bandits, at the distance. They are coming. “Lads, quickly, move into the town and show those bandits the teachings of Master Jiem, I will remain here and stop the others that are coming. If you need weapons, my store is closed, but you’ll find a way to get in. There you can have any weapon you want. Now Go!” the weaponmaster say, before taking her combat position again. You see the inside of the town through the breach, and hear the screams of a man.

“Do not fight against your feelings my child. If I were not dead, I’ll run to stretch you against my chest, and my eyes would drop tears of happiness; is that what makes me sad at this moment. Your feelings are your soul’s manifestations, you should not suppress them.” The spirit says in that kind voice you remember from your childhood. “Now, hear carefully my student. After my death, my soul traveled you the underworld, the realm beyond the world of men. But the gates were closed. I found millions of souls there, waiting to make the journey to the afterlife. Some of them were mad, violent spirits… some were going to be mad shortly. I also found Glorious To, our great leader. He was not mad at all, his superior enlighten kept him away from madness. He told me about the great drought and the war that fixed it. I will not tell you everything I know for know, for a wise man don’t reveal everything at once. Knowledge can be a two edged weapon. Sufficient is to say, that as consequence of the war of the north, the gates to the underworld are closed. Spirits go restless without a a place to rest, they linger to the places they used to live, and persons they use to live with. There is no balance in that my child, given some time, there will be too many spirits, even more than living men. You must seek the key to return this world to balance my child. You must find Mastermind Tien, in the island of Singing Spring; he holds the answer to many of your questions.” The spirit fades for a moment, like blinking “I’m fading now… I will remain with you, next to your heart, in the gift that I gave to you once, long time ago” The spirit approaches to you, and gently knees next to your gun. Kin Wu touches the gun and his body seems to shine with intensity. In a flash of with light, your old master is sucked inside the gun, and a green gem appeared in that place. Suddenly, the gun shines with inscriptions.
The wind blows peacefully again.

"Have you noticed the watch lad's look?" Koryo asks his fellow deckman as inconspicuiously as possible

"About time we'd see land, but this look on his face does not bode drinks and music in a tavern this night!"

Glancing out across the blue waves, Koryo tries to make out whatever had spooked the young sailor as he stays the disturbing visions haunting him from his sleep.

"Did you hear that, Shen? Any weapon we want!" Leng beams with excitement. Then, hearing the scream, "Whoops, better keep moving." He sets off at a loping pace into the town, heading towards Wei Dan's store.

Leng is instantly contrite, and slows to a jog to keep pace with his friend. "I'm sorry, Shen. Of course you're right. Just when I feel like I am finally starting to understand Master Jiem's teachings, I get excited and trip over myself. Thank you for instructing me."

Kaoru hides a little smile. He has never taken the advanced teachings of master Jiem. Although, strangely or perhaps fittingly, the exercizes for being in balance with nature, and controlling the flow of him though his body in order to release it in a concentrated blast of energy had many things in common with what master Jiem teached to his martial students, everything that had to do anything with weapons was unexplored terrain for him. However he could understand, by a theoretical point of view, why such a similar teaching would make sense.

Grimacing, Kaoru winces. All this thinking about Master Jiem's teachings was not enough to distract him from the pain in his stomach, caused by the bandit's punch. Well, he had feared worse...but maybe the next bandits would be armed....

You leave the weaponmaster in the wall and get into the town. For what you can see, the houses are not destroyed or burned at all. There is a villager lying on the ground, with his neck broken. The man is clearly dead. You remember him as the town butcher. He holds a big meat knife in his right hand, but it obviously didn’t help him at all.
Down the road you see the escaping bandits, one attacking the baker, and the other struggling with her daughter. You can make perception rolls if you want, but it will take a wile to search the place or the corpse.

There is a map of the area in the map block on the OOC thread under the name “Smiling spring Town”

Ban Lu can contain himself no longer, he cries out as Master Kin Wu fades and then reaches for his Gun haltingly. He drops to his knees and bows before the Gun then picks it up carefully and holds it with awe. "Master Kin Wu, I am your humble servant and that of our great leader Glorious To. I shall go to seek Mastermind Tien, on the island of Singing Spring." Sitting in the Lotus position with the Gun across his knees under the Willow,Ban Lu tries to enjoy the feel of the breeze on his face and then slips briefly into meditation to attain a level of piece before returning to the temple. There he begins to pack his few belongings for a journey. He finishes off a mostly empty bottle of rice wine. Then he goes to tell the students they must seek enlightenment and wisdom without him. Without further delay he sets off.

You tried to let your students go the faster and painless way, but seeing their master depart was not easy for them. You packed your belongings and in your way outside the school you are intercepted by a group of five villagers. One is the elder of the town, and seems to speak for the rest.
“Why? Why Master Ban Lu, you left us without your guide? Yu made many promises when you came here, and we shelter you in our temple to teach our young. And you did, but now you are leaving with half the task done. Tell us why, Why should we allow you to leave us so lightly?” he inquires, his face is severe and not friendly, neither are the faces of the other villagers.

"Mei Fu!" Leng gasps. Immediately forgetting all talk of restraint or weaponry, he runs as fast as he can to the aid of the baker's daughter. And the baker, of course.

Shen frowns visibly as he sees the events unfolding...... this could be very, very bad. He shakes his head and charges. He wanted to beat Leng to this potential trap. He raises his gun to take a shot at the man holding the baker's daughter.

Action: If Leng is not close enough to charge, I will use Knight's Move (allows extra move action as a free action) to get him there quicker.

In case I can get there and attack:
Basic Attack on thug holding bakers daughter (1d20+7=12, 1d8+4=10)

Kaoru stares, dumbfounded, at the dead man. He knew the butcher, as he knows the baker: both of them helped him several times, teaching him how to cook meat, breath and sauces. He then stares at the bandits, and, without realizing what is going on, breaks in slow run with a lot of sidesteps. Green mists rise from the ground and envelop him, partially hiding him from sight. Eyes wide open and hypnotized, he points at the bandit holding the baker's daughter and murmurs "Die". The bands in his eyes is enveloped in red mist, and then a crackling bolt of energy forms in his hand. The ball of blue and green fire streaks madly and points towards the bandit.
