Having no need for a bed or food, Basher7 none the less understands these are needs vital to the optimal functioning of his companions. "I saw a smithy, shops and a market, what sort of things are you looking to purchase?"
It's a simple matter to learn that the place you need to go is called Bairwin's Grand Shoppe. (It's the purple square on the map, and I'm re-posting the map here for convenience.) It's pretty much the general store of Winterhaven, and Bairwin stocks pretty much anything and everything that you could need. He is also rumored to occasionally have the odd item of enchantment on hand, but these are far too expensive for common folk, except for the occasional potion, that is.
OOC: How much money did you guys say that you have?
"I am in need of a weeks rations for the trip, and we need to see Sister Lenora at the temple to ask about the rumors of the cult."
"As anxious as I am to deal with the kobold threat, I fear that a cult developing in a town this size could be of a greater threat to them. I agree with Elerosse, it is time to speak to the Sister." Khellek says, looking at Aimhirghin leaving, then shaking his head.
"Ok, after we've gathered our supplies." Khellek sighs, following his companion to Bairwin's Grand Shoppe.

We have 35 sp from the prior kobold battle, plus their gear (which I think under 4e is essentially valueless), plus Khellek has 35 gp left from his initial stash.

Luckily for you, that is NOT my take on things! Those kobolds did not have enough treasure to be an adequate reward, imo, so their gear can be sold, and it has a value of half book price. You're welcome! (Just mention IC what you want to sell, and I'll let you know what they'll pay.)
Sorry, I was waiting for someone to post, but, I guess it's my turn to post, isn't it?
You enter Bairwin's Grand Shoppe, a cluttered shop that appears to contain a wide variety of items, including most of the things that you would wish to have before setting off on an adventure. The proprietor, presumably Bairwin, says, "Welcome gentlemen! What can I do you for today? I am Bairwin Wildarson, World Traveler, and I have virtually anything that your heart could desire here in Winterhaven. Even.... And here, the man looks around conspiratorially, "Some items of magic, possibly?" He gives all of you a self-satisfied smile.
Khellek looks at the man dubiously, wondering if his claims are true, after all what would someone with magical items being doing in this town. After the Spellplague their value would be tremendous.
After considering him for a moment, the shifter decides that the man is probably on the level and pulls out a sack with the items they procured from the kobolds on the road.
"I know these are not nearly as impressive as your wares, but we have these from some ambushers on the road and we can't use them. Can we work out a trade?" Khellek asks, somewhat uncomfortable with the art of negotiating and looking to his ally, Aimhirghin for aid.
one dagger, one short sword, one sling, 5 javelins, and 5 spears. The slinger also has some special ammunition for his sling consisting of 2 firepots and 1 gluepot.
OOC: Bairwin Wildarson will give you the standard amount for these items (half book price, I think?), but I'm going to make you look them up and tell ME how much! If the firepots and gluepots aren't listed, I guess you'll have to haggle with him.
'Ahhh, I seeeeee. Hmmm, this stuff doesn't exactly look pristine you know, where'd you find it? In a town dump somewhere? And what are these clay bowls?" Bairwin looks a little bit puzzled by the gluepots and firepots.
On Khellek's cue, Aimhirghin smoothly takes the transaction in hand. He pitches his voice deep and smooth, and speaks conspiratorially with Ser Widarson.
"These are prized by the Kobold slingers - special ammunition that they guard carefully from the hands of others. We would be willing to take 30 gold apiece for them. They're worth considerably more than that to the right buyer, of course, but given their potential to aid the defense of the city I expect you'll be able to sell them here at quite a tidy profit."
OOC
I couldn't find a price, so I based my asking price loosely on Tanglefoot Bags from 3.5 then added a little to bring it to just over half. Of course, we never saw these things in action, so we really don't know what they do . . .

"Hmmm, ye drive a hard bargain.... but 30gp? Now who in this town would have the money to buy them from me after a modest mark-up? Tell you what, I'll give you 8 gold and 5 silver apiece for them."

Oh for Pete's sake - a natural 18, modified 28 and he's wanting a third of half price?
"Sorry friend. They're worth almost my asking price for us to keep. I might could come down a gold to 29. I strongly suspect the good Lord Padraig would be able to afford them, and would likely pay."

Even if you had tolled 2 natural 20s in a row he's not about to pay 30gp for them! Come on, man! Be halfway reasonable. Just because he likes Aimhirghin does not mean that he sends his brain totally on vacation!
Bairwin rubs his stubbly chin and says, "Wellll, I guess that I might be able to pay you an even dozen gold apiece for them."

The gluepots do the same thing as a Tanglefoot bag, which is 50 gp book price. I expected some haggling, so I cut it in half (25) and added 5 (30). The Firepots are even better, but I didn't increase their price at all.
I was just basing my asking price on what you originally said he'd pay.
"I could come down to 28 apiece, but that does away with any profit I could make on them even in a large city market."

Ok, then, my bad. You're right and I'm wrong. My fault. Please forgive me. Guess I should find out what in the heck I'm talking about next time....
Bairwin keeps rubbing hid chin as he studies Aimhirghin. Deciding that he must be a Mage of some Power, he changes his tune. "Oh, I'm sorry, Mr. Magician! Here, let me pay you 25 gold for each of them, although that will put me in the red for this week. Maybe I'll have a good day tomorrow?"
The Bard smiles in friendly fashion at Bairwin's capitulation, and at the obligatory lamenting over lost money.
"Oh, I expect you're going to have a fairly good day today. Unless I miss my guess, my companions and I are about to spend a bit of money in here, and it's looking like we'll be here in town for awhile as well. I'd say there's a good chance you'll be making your money back from us.
I believe you mentioned you possibly have some magic in stock. Would you mind if I looked it over? I doubt I can afford to purchase any right now, but I expect to come into more funds soon and I'd like to have an idea or two about what to aim for."

"Oh, but of course, Sir Mage!" Bairwin lifts up a higned section of the counter he was standing behind, and leads Aimhirghin toward the back room, looking furtively all around the whole time. "Can't be too careful these days, you know, Matilda," he calls to his portly wife across the shop, "Keep an eye on this lot for a moment, I'm going to show this gentleman my ... uhhh ... 'personal collection.' "
When you get into the back room, Bairwin rummages around in a barrel that looked like any other barrel full of animal feed, and pulls out two small jars. "These here may not look like very much, but they're magical potions! Why, I've seen one of these mend a broken arm in two shakes!"
Khellek will glance nervously as the shopkeep takes Aimhirghin to the back room, the hair on the back of his neck rising slightly as he tenses up.
Taking deep breaths, the shifter forces himself to calm down. "You can relax, we're in town, this man means no harm" Khellek thinks to himself, as he awaits his ally's return.
