Learning to trust the instincts of a creature created for war, Khellek will follow Basher's lead and attempt to climb up a tree, or if he can't, hide behind it.
Basher7 selects a nice boulder and rips down a branch to put in front of his face to provide a little more concealment while still letting him watch the road.
After surreptitiously loosening his scimitar in its scabbard, Aimhirghin strolls casually to the side of the road opposite from where his friends are concealing themselves, squats down and takes out a bit of trail rations (again with the beef jerky!). His bow is propped on a tree beside him, his quiver of arrows next to it.
A group of kobolds comes into view on the trail. There is a group of five of them in the vanguard, with two more formidable, armored warrior-types behind them. An eighth kobold brings up the rear, wearing no armor and bearing a sling.
They immediately see Aimhirghin, and point and gawk. The armored kobold warrior who seems to be in charge motions toward Aimhirghin, and the group of five begins to head for him, the two warriors approaching along a different angle. The slinger readies his weapon.

OOC: I really need a map or at least a better sense of where the foes are relative to Basher7 and the others. My action of choice would be to charge the slinger if that is reasonable.
ooc: Back and waiting for the map. Tarrk has a hiding spot that will give him the ability to charge someone. Possibly not the intended ones... but someone

Hi I'm a comic and rpg nerd. Don't hurt me, please.
OOC: Thanks, Mowgli. However, I am all too mindful of several games that I have been in where the DM began delaying his game like this and it went on and on and on and on and the game just never started. Well, some prelimiaries started, much like we have done here, but I AM going to run this game and we ARE about to have a kobold battle. If I could just think to do a map when have time.....

Yup, that's what happened to my HERO game. I took a 'short sabbatical' and never was able to really pick it up again. That's why I'm trying to do at least a little work on the Ihmlán game every day - keeping it fresh and in the front of my head.
Ok, here's the map. We're going to assume for the sake of simplicity that the rock nearest to the party's position provides 100% cover for the time being, which also means that you can't attack the kobolds from behind it. Basher and Tarrk have line of sight to certain kobolds, but not many, and I'm not sure about the rest of you guys. You have initiative (partially for simplicity, and partially because I took so long).
Mowgli, this map does not correspond to what transpired before, but we're gonna stick with the map as it is and go from there, ok?
Instead of executing his diabolically clever plan to draw the kobolds into an ambush by the more combat ready members of his group (while maybe thinning the herd a little), Aimhirghin inexplicably decides to sit on his duff behind the rock with the rest of the group so they can all rush the poor little buggers en masse. He draws his scimitar and prepares for combat.
OOC: "Diabolically clever?" It occurs to Aimhirghin that if he remains right where he is then the kobolds will very soon enter the 'kill zone' of the desired ambush, without his exposing himself to danger at all. The kobolds continue to advance, and for the moment, they do not appear to notice the Warforged and the Minotaur. For the moment, that is.....

Seeing what Khellek is up to a plan begins to form. Speaking very softly to the nearest fellows, "As soon as the front rank of the opposition force is even with me or I am visualized by one of them, I shall step out and draw their attention. Some of you hit the rear with Khellek in a classic ambush. Such tactics have been proven in numerous battles. I suggest focus on those near the rear as they have a high probability of being leaders."
OOC: If he remains undetected, Basher7 will strike the Kobold currently at N16 when he comes into range of Basher7's craghammer. If he is spotted soon he will charge up the middle of the trail with a roar and attack instead.
