The Kobold Dragonshield facing Tarrk is -18hp (11-Tarrk and -7 Aimhirghin). The one facing Basher7 and Khellek is -19hp. Both Kobold Dragonshields are bloodied.
The Dragonshield gets a smug smile on his reptilian face and again attacks Tarrk. He is overconfident, however, and he fails to connect this time. The other Dragonshield is more desperate, however, facing two foes, and he drives his short sword into Basher7 for 7 hp of damage. (7 for Basher7? )
Aimhirghin Maolán (Shoulda Used My Sticks & Stones, My Words Sure Ain't Hurtin' Em)
Leif
The KD attacking Tarrk has taken 18 points of damage - 7 from Aimhirghin and 11 from Tarrk (See Posts 109 and 120).
Time to take the starch out of that Kobold flanking Tarrk . . . he's looking pretty bold.
"Great Gods, the Minotaur's the size of a whole barn! What kind of warrior are you? Oh, you're no warrior, you're just a little lizard! Why don't you just leave your little tail wriggling on the ground here as you run off and play with the other Kobold kids?"
Aimhirghin infuses his shouted comments with such penetrating derision that the Dragonshield should actually be staggering from the psychic force of the blow - but the creature's own confidence serves to protect it from ridicule.

OOC: Thanks, Mowgli, for the reminder of damage to Tarrk's foe. (My post below has been edited accordingly, to be current up to the start of the current round, but it does not include damage from this round yet, of course.) Sorry about that! Walking Dad, if you're in one-on-one combat with a creature, I don't think you can flank it just by shifting. As you approach from a different angle, all it has to do is turn in place to be directly facing you. I think the idea is that you need some kind of distraction or something to be able to flank. (Like an attack from your ally or something. Now since you also have Aimhirghin attacking it, albeit with ranged attacks from behind Tarrk, hmmm, I'll have to give that more thought and study. If anyone has anything to offer, please do so in the OOC thread, please.)

From post 124 (I think) Basher7 should actually already be at L17 - otherwise he and Tarrk could not be flanking that Dragonshield.
This would mean that Khellek should actually be in another adjascent square (N17? That would allow Basher7 to move down to L19, which would then set Tarrk up to move to N21 - then both Dragonshields would be flanked).
Aimhirghin could help some - since Tarrk was missed he could use his Cunning Bard ability to slide the Minotaur one square, leaving him with only a shift to complete the move (and avoid an AoO).
OOC: We haven't had a map for awhile because folks just started moving a lot. (Let's keep OOC stuff in the OOC thread, please, this post being the last exception to that rule, hopefully. This thread is getting awfully cluttered with extraneous junk. Mostly my fault, I admit, but still.....) I'll get an updated map up asap. (Probably tonight?) And I tried to convey that I am ruling that Tarrk can, in fact flank the K. Dragonshield as desired, thanks to Aimhirghin's attack on the K. Dragonshield, no sliding required. (This time.)
BTW, Basher7 and Khellek are on two flanks of the northernmost K. Dragonshield, and Tarrk is now flanking the southernmost one thanks to Aimhirghin's distraction. That's the way it looks in my mind, anyway.
Which only leaves our murderous Eladrin Swordsman/Wizard unaccounted for.

Elerosse sheathes his sword as he looks over at the melee combat his friends are in and calls forth a Magic Missile aimed at the dragonshield most on his left, fighting Tarrk.
action
move action: none
standard: at-will Magic Missile (just like a ranged basic attack range 20): Int vs. Reflex (2d4 + Int) Atk/Dam Rolls: (+4 INT) 23 Damage: 9 (attack the one on Elerosse's left looking down the map)
minor: sheathe sword
I've tried to bring the map up-to-date. I had to guess at the place to where Tarrk shifted, but I took the opportunity to clear Aimhirghin's field of fire so he can help take on the Dragonshield with his ranged powers like he's been doing.
Khellek no longer has the Kobold Dragonshield marked because Basher7 hit him after he was marked.
Also, Elerosse used his Magic Missile power against the Kobold Dragonshield that Tarrk and Aimhirghin are fighting, and he struck it for 9 hp damage. so it is now is -33 hp, and looking pretty bloodsoaked. The one Basher7 and Khellek are fighting is still -19 hp, and just barely bloodied.
Both Dragonshields miss Tarrk and Basher7.

Keeping his attention firmly on his chosen enemy, he again sends a stream of mocking invective (1d20+4=21) at the bloody thing. This time the Kobold's ego takes a beating (1d6+4=7), and it begins to lose hope that it'll ever be able to strike a solid blow against the mighty Tarrk. Aimhirghin gives a satisifed nod as he sees his mockery strike home.
Actions
Standard Action:
Vicious Mockery (At-Will, CHA vs. Will) vs. KD at M20. In addition to the damage, that Dragonshield is at -2 TH until the end of Aimhirghin's next turn.
(No Move/Partial/Free Actions this round)

Now that I look at Virtue of Cunning, I see that it doesn't quite apply to Khellek in this situation. The Dragonshield did not miss Khellek because it didn't attack him. You can slide either Tarrk or Basher7, but not Khellek, ok?
Seeing his target still standing, Elerosse again calls forth a Magic Missile aimed at the same dragonshield. The arcane attack in the shape of an arrow from an Eladrin Long Bow slams into the kobold with maximum effect!
OOC: I'm thinking about how to fluff up my spells. Right now, MM will be shaped as Eladrin-made arrows and Thunderwave will have a small flash of lightning overhead and a small rumble of thunder as it goes off.
action
move action: nothing
standard: at-will Magic Missile (just like a ranged basic attack range 20): Int vs. Reflex (2d4 + Int) Atk/Dam Rolls: (+4 INT) 24 (natural 20!) Damage: 12
minor: none
Tarrk and Basher7 were both missed by the two kobolds last round, so you can use your virtue of cunning this round to 'slide' one of them if you want. Just because you couldn't slide Khellek is no reason to abandon the use of the virtue altogether, is it?
Lou
Sounds good, Bro! As far as I'm concerned, the 'fluff' can change from one usage to the next if you think of something you like better, or you just want to be different. Sometime you might prefer to have your magic missile be shaped like a 'bee of energy' that stings the target or something?

Khellek again swings his longsword and the Moonmaiden must be watching over him as the longsword strikes the kobold, leaving another brand upon the creature, spurring Basher on.

Tarrk swings valiantly at the Kobold Dragonshield, but his blow misses. Aimhirghin, however, damages the foe with his Bardic power, and Elerosse releases a Magic Missile that strikes home as well. The Kobold Dragonshild cries out and gives up the ghost. (No, silly there's no real ghost there, the Dragonshield just died.)
Basher7 soundly wallops the Kobold Dragonshield that he faces, and Khellek damages that one as well. This Kobold Dragonshield also falls before the onslaught of the mighty heroes!
