As Vaidun makes this remark, he is walking across the middle of the room toward the staircase leading up to the next level. He actually says, "Shall we mo...ah!" as he stumbles against an invisible object a bit more that waist high. He quickly finds is to be a sofa, and also finds that there are other objects, sofas, settees, chairs, tables, etc. arranged all around the middle of this level of the tower.
"Very interesting," says Vaidun, relaxing into the invisible sofa. "Strange, really, but we wizards tend toward that extreme."

The rest of you marvel somewhat at Vaidun making himself comfy on the invisible sofa, just seeming to float effortlessely about two-and-a-half feet off the floor.
"Do make yourselves at home," says Vaidun, smililng.

Sam sees what looks for all the world like an invisible furniture showroom. There's just sofas, chairs, tables, and STUFF arranged pretty haphazardly around the room, all of it invisible, of course. None of the items he finds is of any particular use, but this does seem to be a convenient place for the part to hole-up and rest, if need be.
"Ah yes, work, work, work," says Vaidun with a smile. The wizard stands, ready to help the others.

Nilah continues detecting magic, his eyes faintly aglow as he looks about the room. He won't see the objects themselves, but he should be capable of seeing the magic itself, which may outline the objects.

Nilah notes that the entire middle portion of the room is magical (Illusion School). Wonder if this has anything to do with the furniture being invisible. Hmmm....
He detects no other magic in the room, except for items carried by the party, of course.
Vaidun stands, and waits for the group to file out so that he can move to the rear of the group with Blade.

Vaidun merely shakes his head. "Damnable wizards. A blue door, really? I'll have you all know, that I don't have any strange doors in my home. Protected doors, certainly, but otherwise they are all of ordinary iron-banded wood. Wizards like this give our kind a bad name."

"Ah, but at least my 'ordinary wood' gets put to good use," replies Vaidun, waiting for the others to cast their magical detections upon the blue door.

Blade sighs at the wizard's banter, especially the last comment, turning his attention back to the front for a moment "Can we try to focus on the task at hand? After we save the wizard we can all sit down over a glass of ale or wine and talk about how much use our Wood gets"
Vaidun chuckles, and waves his hand at the door. "After you, dear Blade. Would you like to be the first to see what's behind door number blue?"
