[Blackdirge/Goodman] Paths to Prestige: Fell Knight released!

Blackdirge Publishing and Goodman Games bring you Paths to Prestige, another new line of products for the Fourth Edition Dungeons & Dragons game. Each Paths to Prestige presents a new and intriguing paragon path, plus a template and an example monster or NPC based on the paragon path, making each product in the line useful for both players and DMs. Paths to Prestige is designed to fit easily into any campaign.

The first Paths to Prestige product introduces the dark and powerful fell knight. The fell knight is a fallen paladin that has turned his back on the powers of light and good for the twisted might of darkness. Although not specifically evil, the fell knight commands a host of powers and abilities that draw upon the strength of evil gods.

So indulge in a little darkness in your campaign with Paths to Prestige: Fell Knight.

Paths to Prestige: Fell Knight contains 5 pages of new 4E material, including the following:
  • The fell knight paragon path
  • The fell knight template
  • The azer blackfire champion, a fully detailed example monster using the fell knight template
  • Fabulous illustrations by Jesse Mohn
Also, be sure to look for future products in this series, coming very soon:
  • Paths to Prestige: Centurion
  • Paths to Prestige: Escrimeur
  • Paths to Prestige: Gendarme
  • Paths to Prestige: Headsman

Gotta be a little curious - what is the difference between a Prestige Class and a Paragon Path?

Functionally, they fill the same role in the game - they are an addition to your basic character class that provides increased focus on a specific theme. However, paragon paths are obviously designed to work with the 4E system. Typically, a paragon path provides a character with three new abilities, one of which is designed to work with the action point system, and two others that expand mechanically on the path’s theme. Additionally, a paragon path provides a character with three new powers: one 11th level attack power, one 12th level utility power, and a 20th level attack power.

Aren't you familiar with prestige classes? I've seen them in Dreamscarred products.

I think what they're asking about is this (see bolded part).

Whoops! I guess I better fix that.

Wow, 3.5 still has a lingering hold on me.

This file, like the Critter Cache before, is also locked, which prevents me from changing the default view and extracting pages. Is this something you could fix up?

The Paragon Path looks great and solid.

Yeah, I'll talk to my layout guy about it. I have another product release this week, so when I upload that product, I'll update the others.
