The time is now to seize the throne of Cthonia for yourself. With nobles titles, new paragon paths, such as Kingmaker and Feudal Lord, along with epic destinies, including Once and Future Monarch, the lands of Cthonia are ripe for the taking.
So far, my first glance tells me its amazingly well done, and exactly what another poster about 6 months ago could have used to do a "historical fantasy" campaign in 4e.
I got it too, and it looks really like an amazing book. I loved the "campaign-specific" rules regarding Primal or Arcane characters, the 2 multiclass were just great, I love also the idea of the titles as magic items, and the "rituals". I have not read it all, but it is really good for now. And the book is beautiful

Lol . . . didn't I mention we are a small company. Seriously, however, there is a few things in the mix. First is the GM's Secrets to Cthonia (working title), a Vol. II if you will.
But in the immediate future, a Feudal Lords 4th-level adventure "Three Days Until Dawn" as well as a few more Medieval Bestiaries and another Dragon's Hoard devoted to the Feudal Lords Campaign Setting.
The adventure is done and ready to go (minor editing is needed) and it should be available the middle of May.
Plus, I am working on a simple rules system for building strongholds and defending them. We might include this as a separate product or a part of the Gm's Secrets.

Wow, what a beautiful product. I've only glanced at it so far, but if the content is half as nice as the art and production values, this will be one of my favorite products.

More bestiaries would be nice....
Thanks and I hope the content meets your expectations since we try to appear (both image and content) as professional as possible being a small company with a tiny budget.
As for the bestiaries - they are in the works. I am proofing and putting together the first 4th Edition adventure for the setting, Three Days Until Dawn, as I post. I am half-done with the next bestiary, Morrigan - a ghoulish mother and controller of fates, often accompanied by crows or wolves. Occasionally, you might find a badb along side her - a living human child raised by the morrigan on ghoulish milk and flesh.

Adventure! Awesome, nothing gives a better feel for a setting than a good adventure and I trust you guys to do a good adventure.
On a side note any plans for the 4nyEdition line, loved Mediaeval Landscapes: Peasant House.

It is put together and I am cleaning it up now and, given my time tomorrow, it will be out either Monday or Tuesday. It is a vampire tale with a twist, great maps, and enough wiggle room for a Game Master to insert his or her influence.
A vampire lord is looking for a new place to live and until he stays three nights at his new gravesite, he is weakened. Characters have three days to find the gravesite by uncovering a two-hundred year old secret, and lift the undead siege of Drusholden, before the vampire regains his strength.
As for the 4nyEd line - I have begun work on a Burgher's House and Dungeons. But, not enough done yet to give a time frame on their release.
Happy Gaming.

Thanks for the great review for Adventurer's Guide to Cthonia. I am glad you did not judge too harshly on the game mechanics, since being a 3PP, we only were able to get our eyes on the new rules since last June like everybody else. And this project has been in the works since then as well as the great quantity of material WotC's put out since then. It is a lot to digest.
I would like to point out something about the possessed. We did limit the weapon and implement keywords on purpose finally deciding that the powers come directly from the possessing creature and not just from experience and prowess over the power source like normal classes. Thus we limited the influence over typical magic items like magic weapons or implements. We did, however, compensate that fact with the wondrous magic item "Knucklebone of Asceirra." The item provides player's with a bonus to infernal (possessed) powers like a magic implement or weapon.
The best thing about publishing .pdfs is that we can make corrections frequently and without much hassle and we will do so with this product as well as others before heading off to print. Thanks for your valuable input.
And likewise to others - there is only two of us here - and we can always use great input to help us make the best products available. So post your concerns here or at our hosted forum at aleapublishing.com

Before I get into my actual post, I just wanted to say that this is **THE COOLEST IDEA EVER!!!** A ghoulish mother raising human children on ghoul milk??!! I MEAN COME ON! THAT'S FREAKIN' AWESOME! (And nasty bad scary!!) I look forward to this!
Now, on with my post.
I just picked up the Campaign Setting, the Noble Class (wanted those power cards!) and the Vampire Adventure. (Haven't looked at the adventure yet, but loved the concept so had to buy!)
I really like the campaign so far, and it seems well done. I'm still reading the book, but off the start I noticed a few "smallish" things that might be considered if ever doing an "update".
Fist off, the introduction needs to be expanded in my opinion as in the first 3 chapters (as far as I have gotten so far), there are mention/references to things, places/events, etc. that have not yet been introduced or discussed. I found myself wondering "What the heck is that?" It sounds cool, so I'm hoping to find out later in the book. IMO, an introduction to the history of the world might have been well placed somewhere in the Introduction, previewing some "campaign specifc" items before getting into the crunch.
In a similar fashion, the races and classes section (which I *vastly* prefer to the format presented in the actual Core Books) seems to lack consistency. There is no "quid-pro-quo" saying that unless mentioned, all classes/races are as presented in the core rules. I read the fluff of the races like a starving tarrasque, but then found myself looking for the "crunch". A bit of a jolt to my crusty middle-aged gamer system.
Other than these small nit pickies though, I must say this product is fantastic! The art is amazaing! I really love the cover, and personally would have prefered to see that style carry through the book. The fonts are schaweet, and add to the medievel feel.
The Noble and Possessed (the later of which I expected to be a rip off of Warhammer's Chaos Spawn - SO glad I was wrong!) are fantastic! The paragon paths of Guildmaster, Feudal Lord etc are amazingly well done!
Being an avid Birthright fanatic, I fully expect to devour this book (and all future releases in the series) with a voracious appetite! The hints you've mentioned of things to come only encourage me to hope even more that I might yet see a "proxie" system and alternate campaign world for my sorley lamented Birthright Campaign.
I will not hesitate to plug this book and the setting with every chance.
Thanks for your interest and more importantly - your feedback. There are a few unanswered questions in throughout the book, but that is for the Game Master in Volume II - Game Master's Secrets of Cthonia.
As for the art, I would love to have a consistent feel throughout, but being a small company with a tiny art budget, we have to make do for now.
We will definitely take your feedback to heart when updating the present book and when I begin work on "Adventurer's Guide to Darcadia" some time late this year.
