| Welcome to Long Island Gameday Forum! It's time to start the real planning of the LIG that will take place in North Babylon, NY on January 26th and 27th! We can use this forum to get things quickly and clearly in place.
Here is what we propose:
On Saturday we'll have two slots - 10am - 2pm and 3pm - 7 or 8pm. It's been requested that we have some longer slots so Saturday night could be a good spot for that. We can fit up to three games a slot, although two would be perfect leaving the living room for card games / Rock Band / movies / socializing. Breakfast we can do bagels & donuts. Lunch will be get your own - we are literally 2 minutes down the road from every fast food place in our area. We'll probably make one big order somewhere (pizza or Chinese) if you'd rather stay in. We'll be cooking up something for dinner here and after that it'll be party games / Rock Band / board gaming marathon. It's pretty open right now. Yes, it's pretty late for dinner but we'll be snacking all day so I think we'll be okay
Sunday we think one slot would be best so those who have to leave to travel home can still get a game in. If people do want to stay late, we're totally open to another game slot. Otherwise we'll say 10 or 11am - 2 or 3 pm again.
If you want to run a game, feel free to start a thread with day and time you want to run your game with a description and what the requirements are. If you could also include what your table needs are I can assign a spot to you.
Any general questions can go here or feel free to start a new thread. We're open to suggestions and want the weekend to run smoothly. Please let us know if you plan on attending and check back regularly to look for new games to sign up for!

| Can you add the different slots to the category fields? Like Saturday AM and such? May help folks find slots easier.

| I don't want to bug Morrus to fix this, he was already nice enough setting up the forum. Although I guess I should mention it in case it affects other users... |

| Do you know of any spots that really need games? I am not sure if anyone let you know what slot they were running in but haven't posted the game yet.

Rob - Dire Wolf - will run something for sure but he can fill in spots where we need them. Tomorrow night I'll be checking in with our gaming group and finding out if someone wants to run a game.
It would probably help if some of the maybes figured out if they were coming for sure, they might want to run stuff too |

| I've been contemplating running a game for the Sunday session as well. I'm not too worried about number of games being run for this GD as it seems there are plenty of good GMs.
I also imagine the slots will fill out nicely as we get closer to the date and farther away from the crazy that is New Years.

If that's the case, he'll pay for my rental car up there, and my attendance is a done deal.
I'm debating whether I want to run something or not. I kinda like the idea of the leisurely drive up there, playing in sessions and not being responsible for a damn thing other than me .
With that said, however, I always have the itch to run something, so... I'm thinking maybe something pulp (Hollow Earth Expedition/Indiana Jones-ish) or something off-the-wall and indie (Dust Devils, Spirit of the Century, Inspectres, or The Shab al-Hiri Roach).
Once I know for sure (today or tomorrow) what my deal is, I'll ping Rodrigo (who's still on vacation, I believe) and then you'll know.

__________________ people wonder why I do things I do in games... it's simple. most gm's, if you give them a sufficiently cool and cinematic action you want to do, will give you a chance... then, it's just up to the dice, and considering my dice when doing normal stuff, and how bad they are, the law of averages is in my favor.
BOOM! |
