A Night At The YMCA [Saturday 8PM-12AM]
Age: 18+
System: Dread
(Slots available)
This will be a reprise of my GenCon game for those who weren't able to make it then. I'll relax the gender restrictions on the players for this one a little as well, so I got no problem with several gals signing up.
WANTED: MACHO MEN!
As part of a promotional tour, the Village People are scheduled to spend the night at the local YMCA. The costumed boys are scheduled to engage in lots of male-bonding, fitness, and of course, DISCO, but is something more sinister afoot? Is something lurking in the showers? Who dropped the soap? Can these macho men survive the night? Let's find out! The Jenga tower awaits.
Characters:
Felipe (Indian Chief)
David (Construction Worker)
Randy (Cowboy)
Victor (Police Officer)
Glenn (Biker/Leatherman)
Alex (G.I.)
Cool, you're in. I also currently got a slot free in the GenCon version if you want to do it next week, but I'm pretty sure you have another game at that time.
If I stay on Sunday I'd love a spot. I was looking at this for the Albany game day in May
Shall I put you down then?
As for Albany game day, I think you must be thinking of scholar's disco game, since I've never been to Albany before. ;-) I ran this for the first time at GenCon, actually, and this will be the second time.

Yes, your right I'm thinking of Scholar's game
It looks like I'll be staying Sat night so feel free to put me down

Btw, will there be a room I can run this in where I can play music? It worked really well at GenCon.
Definitely, any place we have can play music. Since it's Dread, you don't need too much space, do you? We have two areas with a LOT of space and then our living room with coffee table surrounded by couch. I'm thinking that would be best for Dread, we've played Jenga there before.
Yeah, assuming you'll need a CD player there is one of those in all 3 of the spots that we'll have for games.
For GenCon, I bought a little flash mp3 player and used that and some speakers from my computer.

That sounds good. I ran it around a coffee table at GenCon and that environment seems to work best for Dread.

If NOT, then I will happily play Felipe Rose at LI.
For what it's worth, "Reserved" meant "Tom" . So there's still a spot open here even after counting you. :-)
Anyway, you're added since I'm not really planning to run this at the DC Gameday.
I'm not sure when I can run this game. It looks like Queenie and Seonaid will have to drop for the M&M Girls game that's been scheduled. Alas, part of the reason I decided to run this game at LIGD was for them since they wanted to play it at GenCon but didn't get a chance (along with Tom). But Saturday morning, DireWolf and Tom are both running games (and there are no game slots left) and Saturday night, I think some of you want to be in JC's game or the Dread clue (plus we should probably not schedule two Dread games at once to optimize rooms).
So I'm not sure what to do. Should I move this to Saturday PM? Should I try to ask Kennon and Liz if I can run this at their place the night before the next DC Gameday (this wouldn't really work in the normal DC Gameday location)? I don't see any good solutions right now.
How long is the game? *Maybe* you can run it Friday night? Rob is running a game then too, I think. Depending on people's arrival times we might be able to do it then. I'm hesitant to say Saturday night - you may get enough people to play but others (like me) will be flaky - drinking and in and out of Rock Band.

Sorry to mess you up like this! :-(
It's definitely four hours.
And this game is not at all incompatible with drinking. I could arrange a guitar scene if necessary as well. Hmm...
Perhaps run something else in this slot or see what else pops up for Sunday AM? At the moment, your game is the only game for dudes.
For myself, there is football at 1pm so I may not play in anything in favor of sleeping in + the game. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to play in something that caught me eye.

I don't really have anything else to run Sunday morning, so if I wasn't running my YMCA game then, I'd let one of the other dudez do a game then. I plan on debuting my next new game at the October DC gameday, but it won't be ready by September.
