[Sat 10AM-2PM] Fate of Atlantis! (Hollow Earth Expedition)
In the wondrous and deadly city of Atlantis, ruthless factions scheme to sacrifice an innocent girl in a strange ritual to unlock the secrets of the might of the original Atlanteans. The heroes, natives of the Hollow Earth (plus one surface world dweller that found herself lost in the Hollow Earth), must fight their way out of the slave pits of Atlantis, through the back alleys and dark catacombs of the ancient city, and into the halls of ultimate power on a quest to save the girl, and expose an eons-lost secret that will shake Hollow Earth civilization to its core!
This adventure is a preview of the sample adventure that will be published in the upcoming sourcebook Mysteries of the Hollow Earth (due in stores by early December 2008).
The heroes will be:
The Amazon Warrior (female human, has to be female) The Cargo Cultist Alchemist (female human, can be played as male) The Natural Philosopher (Beastman, subtype apeman, male but can be played as female) The Noble Beastmaster (male human, can be played as female) The Shadow Stalker (beastman, subtype pantherman, female but can be played as male) The Sky Raider (Beastman, subtype hawkman, male but can be played as female) The Tribal Shaman (Beastman, subtype lizardman, gender unclear ) The Fortune Hunter (Surface World female human, can be played as male)
OK, here's the deal: I have TWO different HEX adventures I want to run. One is insanely action-driven, with a fair amount of character interaction (some of it even potentially PvP!), running the gamut from a hair-raising encounter in the British Museum of London concluding with an epic battle in Antarctica.
The other is a more character-driven, potentially hilarious romp set in 1936 Haiti as a film crew, in which most of the characters really dislike one another, are making a zombie movie... that goes horribly wrong. In a very funny kind of way.
So... there you go. Until I figure out which one I want to run, any dibs on the game might be pointless.
Well Tom, I'm dibbing YOU. So descriptions of your game matter not.
That said, they both sound really fun and at the moment I have no preference. I got to pepper spray a party member this gencon and that is the extent of my pvp action. It could be fun though. Course, anything with the word romp in it it usually fun too. So, yeah.
