We're figuring out Saturday night dinner.

What do you guys think of beef stew? We could have some nice bread and salad with it. Cass and Frai, we could whip up a batch of pasta for you guys, bread and salad go with that too.

What do you guys think? If people can't eat that / don't like it, we'll probably stick to the turkey idea. But the stew is easier all around to make and serve.

My only rules are "No Beets" "No Lima Beans", and you would be thankful for rule #3, "No Cabbage".

Sounds good to me.

I am willing to bet that there is only one person there that loves you enough to allow you to have cabbage!

I think our hosts like the paint ON their walls, not peeling from it.

Questions!

What kind of soda would you like?
What kind of juice would you like?
Is Dunkin Donuts coffee grounds what you want for the coffee maker?
DO you use half and half or cream in your coffee?

Diet coke.
Unles it's getting mixed with something alcoholic, I don't drink juice.
Yes, Dunkin Donuts coffee is good.
Either. Or milk, for that matter.

If you serve Seonaid cabbage, it's your fault you won't be able to live in your house for the next several weeks. You have been warned.

as to food: I like pasta. I also like the "other stuff" that is usually served with turkey on thanksgiving. Either option would be just fine for me.

on to drinks: I'll probably just drink mostly water and only a little bit of what everyone else is having.

OJ works. Otherwise filtered water is fine.

No coffee for me, thanks. I'll just stick with the usual cocaine pick-me-up.

1. I'll second JC. Root beer and Coke are my two favs, and Ginger ale is fine too.
2. I'm good with anything except cranberry, pretty much.
3/4. I'm ok with whatever coffee everyone else is ok with. Half & Half or Cream are both good.

Thanks so much for hosting this, Lisa!

So, $40 it is?

I'll be the Asian standing by the door to say goodbye and smack you if you don't pay up.

lol

Have I mentioned that I love Liz?

Seriously, if you are okay with that amount I think it's good. Most of the shopping is done, we'll just need to buy the pizza and bagels, donuts, that stuff.

We've also talked to our gaming group to make sure they will contribute something too. I think they are used to coming over in the summer for little parties we throw and not putting anything in. So they've been warned
