| Manual of the Planes Normally a staple in any typical D&D library, this 4th edition version of the Manual of the Planes ended up being a disappointment.
A lack of usable statistics, encounters, and other table-usable features makes this version of the Manual of the Planes little more than an extension of the Dungeon Master's Guide section on the planes. Unlike Draconomicon, it seems to lack both focus and the typical 4th edition design philosophy... |

| Dungeon Crawl Classics 54: Forges of the Mountain King 4E Adventure for Character Level 1 Through one of several brief plot points, the party finds their strength pitted against the minions of the Mountain King and the evil dwarves and humanoids that lurk in the forgotten halls. Some 4e snafus in this early product but the bonus Fat Dragon 3-D models are sweet. |

| Martial Power Martial Power provides many, many options to martial characters. Martial Power is an excellent resource for martial characters...I would recommend this book to any martial character, but regret it’s uselessness to anyone else. |

| the Speaker in Dreams Nice fast paced city adventure

| Draconomicon An excellent crunch-filled book with nine mini-adventures and dozens of unique dragons to put your party into shock and awe.
What would Christmas be without a fine tome filled with horrors buried in the deepest darkest depths of the known worlds? Pretty lame, if you ask me. Lucky for me, I was the proud receiver of Draconomicon, the Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition book on dragons. I wasn't particularly excited by... |

| Points of Light Perfect for Game Masters who prefer to home brew over a skeleton setting. Points of Light provides four different mini-campaign settings that can be used to augment any setting that the GM is using. It's lack of game mechanics is a plus for those who haven't jumped on board the 4e train and it's slim size allows the GM to customize away without impacting the material. |

| Blackdirge’s Dungeon Denizens Hardcove worthy of sitting next to the official tome. At 144 black and white pages for $24.95, the Dungeon Denizens is priced to sit on your bookshelf. The art and layout could be better, but the content, the depth and variety of monsters is solid. |

| Heroes Unlimited Revised Second Edition Super fun, but clunky. Overall, the book rates high in creativity, fun, and utility, while suffering from a lack of completeness, cohesiveness, and elegance. The game’s true strength lies in its ability to bring a character to life just by using a few tables. |

| H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth Better than Keep on the Shadowfell! I greatly preferred Thunderspire Labyrinth over Shadowfell. Some of the set piece battles are fun, the central location (The Seven Pillared Hall) is far more diverse and interesting than Shadowfell's Winterhaven. We experienced some balancing issues, though. |
