In a video answer to sage advice, The (or as I prefer Le) Rouse says that they (probably) will incorporate material from the core rulebook follow ups like the PHBII and MMII:

Note also that he didn't say that all content from those books would be open. I have a feeling we'll see people say that he did when such things start getting added.
