GSL Fonts

The SRD implies we can use the various attack symbols and recharge dice symbols. But they are embedded as part of a font DnD1Attack-Icon1. Will they be making this font available?

Down on the list: seemingly real close to releasing a notebook essential. It's in layout! Has been for months now. (Just nod politely so I won't cry about this.)

I am looking at this as well - before making my own set of icons. The GSL says we can reproduce the templates in the SRD, but not any templates excluded from the SRD.

So, as it seems, you can reproduce the icons as well. Now, whether WotC will make that font available is another question entirely.

I know a lot of people, gamers among them, would like that font.

We will look into the fonts question as it pertains to the attack icons

Spoiler:
Every edition moves us closer to a better game, in my view. And guess what, 4E will screw some stuff up, just like 3E made monster design a horrific, creativity squashing nightmare (ok, I'm overstating it, yes, you could still make real cool monsters, but it became more of a rules lawyer-y cookie cutter solution which I don't favor). 4E will do things wrong. Maybe it will be that 1st level characters will be too powerful. I don't know. But experimenting is the way to do it--and, as it so happens, it is the TRADITION of D&D. Gary, god rest his soul, didn't stop with the white box. He did Greyhawk. Blackmoor. He added new classes. Psionics. New monsters. Eldritch Wizardry. Then he tried to unify it all with AD&D. If D&D has a tradition, its change, growth and expansion. If it didn't, we'd all just have STR INT and WIS. - Orcus

Thank you - for your time looking into this matter - one way or another. I think continuity is important to a consumer and the attack icons play an important part in the new system.
