Uh, I don't think these are campaign ideas, but rather rumors that one would hear in a bar or some such.

Kinda interesting - hit and miss on a few, might steal a few for something or other...

Having them be rumors that end up not being true, and the regular default D&D assumptions are true after all would be horribly anticlimactic.
