    Appearance/Personality: Only 3'6", Taden is a small and jittery 
    creature. He normally wears simple brown clothing over his grey tinted 
    skin. Though he has a strong connection to nature, all of his life Taden
    has had an awkward fear of the color green. This has caused him much 
    trouble if venturing out in forests, grasslands, or around lizards. He 
    uses his Badge companion(aptly named 'Target') to move first in times
    like this, just in case the green thing decides to eat something. Taden 
    likes Target, but would rather not be eaten, as he is small, wiry, and 
    probably not tastey.

    Appearance: Stocky and muscular, Nah?l is what appears to be an oversized kobold with two heads upon his shoulders. Covered in fine dusky scales, he wears a suit of special scale mail that accommodates his odd frame. Slung across his back is a massive two-handed warhammer, and resting with the blade hanging over his center shoulder is a sharp scythe. A small tube of javelins is next to a backpack full of some minor gear.

    Background: Nah?l was part of hatchling #157, and is one of the few who remain alive still. His agile and strong frame often meant he was the one doing most of the heavy lifting when it came around to it, something which neither head minded. He found at a young age that he could channel what some said was draconic heritage in a fiery boiling through his veins which made his muscles bulge and his body surge with power. His ?simple? nature often makes him stand out a little, mimicking a crazed dragon at one point and petting a flower the next.

    Appearance: Lok-Nar is a strapping zweibold male with scales the color of polished wood. Each of his two heads is very pleasingly proportioned, with a strong, elegant snout, good sharp teeth, polished horns, and bright eyes. His two heads tend to look in opposite directions, usually looking at someone speaking to him from two different angles, as if trying to make sure he doesn’t miss anything. He carries his favorite weapon, a hand cannon, in a sheath on his back, with his powder horn prominently displayed on his belt. He carries a flail in a loop on the other side of his belt, clearly visible because of its vicious appearance.


    Personality: Lok-Nar is approximately as smart as a bunch of pointy rocks, which puts him just above the average orc. However, he considers himself stronger and prettier than most of them, as well as a good candidate for anything Amartij wanted him to do. Always a follower, the strong arm, the tough guy, Lok-Nar is happiest when someone is giving him orders. When those orders include creative “extraction of information,” he’s even happier.


    Background: Lok-Nar was born the biggest egg of the Blackfoot tribe’s hatching eleven years ago. Although he prided himself on strength, it became clear he lacked the skill for any of the more technical aspects of mining. He concentrated on simple hauling of rock, as well as beating back the occasional intruder or monster that preyed upon their tribe.

    He learned to appreciate his smarter hatch-mates, who can tell him things he’s missed, or protocol he has to learn. It was with some of their advice that he sought to master the tribe’s best weapon, the firearm. He hopes to impress their queen, Amartij, so that she will reward him with duty beyond the mines.

    Appearance: Kadan's skin is a mud red color, flecked with black. Usually all anyone can see is his toothy snout poking out from his black robe and his two tiny hands holding onto an enormous (for a kobold) crossbow. The spear strapped to his back and the buldges underneath his robe also tend to draw some attention, but Kadan's icy stare or sinister grin usually keep all but the most foolhardy people at a distance.

    Background: It was hard for Kadan to make friends, mostly because of his fascination with dead animals. When the others of his tribe were out hunting, Kadan was busy trapping small creatures and watching them die. A tribal sorceror immediately recognized this odd behavior as the mark of someone with potential. It was as though, when he watched death, he was in on a secret that no one else knew. Because of this, his words gained a certain weight within the tribe, and while not popular, he was respected. He was taken under the wing of the sorceror, working as his servant while learning magical lore.

    Despite his magical aptitude and weird ways, Kadan was sent on mandatory hunting trips when he reached an adult age. His abilities manifested when a ghoul attacked his hunting party one evening. By the time he woke, most of his party had been paralyzed or killed. In the midst of all this death, power began to course through Kadan's veins. He could feel it guide his hand, an energy releasing from a hidden chamber within him. Bolts of energy released from his palms, causing the undead creature before him to crumple. With a sinister grin, Kadan knew he had found his calling.

    Improved Evasion (Ex): When subjected to an attack that normally allows a Reflex saving throw for half damage, a familiar takes no damage if it makes a successful saving throw and half damage even if the saving throw fails.

    Share Spells: At the master’s option, he may have any spell (but not any spell-like ability) he casts on himself also affect his familiar. The familiar must be within 5 feet at the time of casting to receive the benefit. If the spell or effect has a duration other than instantaneous, it stops affecting the familiar if it moves farther than 5 feet away and will not affect the familiar again even if it returns to the master before the duration expires. Additionally, the master may cast a spell with a target of “You” on his familiar (as a touch range spell) instead of on himself. A master and his familiar can share spells even if the spells normally do not affect creatures of the familiar’s type (magical beast).

    Empathic Link (Su): The master has an empathic link with his familiar out to a distance of up to 1 mile. The master cannot see through the familiar’s eyes, but they can communicate empathically. Because of the limited nature of the link, only general emotional content can be communicated.
