LIMIT ON MAGIC ITEMS WORN

Only so many items of a certain kind can be worn and be effective at the same time. The limits include the following:

1 headband, hat, or helmet
1 pair of eye lenses or goggles
1 cloak, cape, or mantle
1 amulet, brooch, medallion, necklace, periapt, or scarab
1 suit of armor
1 robe
1 vest, vestment, or shirt
1 pair of bracers or bracelets
1 pair of gloves or gauntlets
2 rings
1 belt
1 pair of boots

This general rule applies to other attempts to “double up” on magic items—for instance, if a character puts on another magic cloak on top of the one he is already wearing, the second cloak’s power does not work.

Does that mea that if you wear , shirt, over it a suit of armor and top of that a robe all bonus will stack up even like bonus?

Probably not. Remember that not all bonuses stack with each other. Just because you have Bracers +5 and you CAN wear them with armor DOESN'T mean that they stack with your armor.

If you can wear the items at the same time AND their bonus types allow for stacking, THEN yes, the bonuses would stack. Otherwise, you can wear the items, but they won't stack.

No. Like bonuses do not stack. This rule does not supersede that. This just says that you cannot wear more than one in each category and have them work.

For example, if you wear a shirt that has an armor bonus as well as actual armor, the bonuses will not stack. You certainly can wear both items, however.

Basically this particular rule is designed to keep you from wearing a Cloak of Resistance and a Cloak of Charisma. (Just one more way that the man keeps down the Sorcerer! :D )

I'm pretty sure that it is actually designed to stop the Paladin from using a Cloak of Resistance and a Cloak of Charisma at the same time. Resistance +5 and Charisma +6 is a straight +8 to all saves there. Yikes! So it's there for balance reasons. Keeping the sorceror down is just a bonus ;)

Of course there is nothing Stopping the Paladin from getting a Claok of Charisma +6 and Resistance +5. Ya, it's a little pricey.:D
