Mmmmm Kobolds

My group was battled to a standstill with a group of kobolds that inhabited the mines they wanted to reopen. The party was about 5th-7th level. Most of the kobolds were lower level than that by a fair bit (lots of Sorcerer 2's and Rogue 3's).

There was a thread here some weeks ago when someone asked for help and advice how he could kick butt of his lvl15 group with kobolds... I think he got a lot of nice ideas. No idea if it worked though.

As for my experiences: Never understood why kobolds should be less dangerous than orcs. My groups rather flee from 12 kobolds than from 10 orcs at lower levels.

And yes: I play kobold characters

Currently one of the party's most loved NPCs is a kobold.

I have never killed a PC with kobolds.
They won't let me.

Everything they see or hear of a kobold,
or his tribe, they run away in fear.

But I've been gaming with mostly the same players
for 10 years now. They know me. >
